No it is not right because he helped make the baby so he should be responsible for it too!! Any man can get a woman pregnant and say that he is going to be a dad ,but it takes a REAL man to be a father the kind that is there for his child!! God Bless &tell your friend good luck!!!!

of course it's not OK, but it's reality. both parents have a responsibility, but being a mother, it's pretty much known that it doesn't matter what you want to happen, there's always the possibilty that the other person will leave and your friend's sister should have been aware of that. if they weren't willing to take care of a baby on the off-chance that the father wouldn't be around... they should have been more careful. this is coming from a twenty-two year old single mother by the way.

Right hell no! Typical hell yes. Unfortunately a large precentage of the male population fails to realize that it takes two people to create a life whether it is a male and a female or a woman and her doctor! In a more sympathetic light, having a child is scary as hell! Old or young man or woman it is all right to be afraid but it's not all right to not take responsibility for your actions. There is counseling for daddies- to- be too!

No,but on the bright side,if he is proven the father with a paternity test, your friend can go through the courts and force him to pay child support until the baby turns 18 years of age!

No, but if he leaves thats not anyones fault. It's his loss. Now she has to think about her baby and do what's best for him or her. Just make sure he helps tho. Even if he don't want nothing to do with the baby he'll still have to pay child support.

How about providing more details?

For all we know, she could've lied about using birth control, had only a casual relationship with the fellow, and all he did was end the relationship in disgust, while effusively offering financial support for the baby and parenting help.

no it is not right but if he doesn't won't anything to do with this then that could work out for the better. If i had to force someone to be involved in my childs life i had rather them not be in it at all.
