I don't want him to get arrested...I looked it up on the internet that in Texas once a child is conceived you are considered an adult and once 17 you are legal...so by the time I even have the baby I will be 17 and legal but after the first doctors appointment I will be looked at as a adult...so please don't wish for him to get locked up.

DANG!! These people are ferocious!! What is wrong with everyone? He is only 9 years older than you! My ex-husband and the father of my 5 children is 16 years older than me and I am quite sure that no one ever called him a sex-offender or a rapist! We were married for the better part of 20 years and still have a close relationship. Have these people forgotten what it was like to be in love? Why are they so judgemental? How can they assume that this man does not love you just because he is 9 years older than you? I think that their advice is a little "over the top" and I would not let it upset me if I were you.
Here is the actual answer to your question. There are about 5 states in the US where he could be arrested. IF, you were to marry him then he would not be arrested. You are too young to get married without parental consent UNLESS you are pregnant in which case the judge can waive the age thing and marry the two of you. What you need to do is do a search on the net for "Age of Consent" it will give you a state by state chart showing the age of consent. I live in Indiana and the age of consent here is 16, you would be fine if you lived here but since I have no idea what state you live in I can not give you a definite answer. I recently found out that the age of consent in Tennessee is 18 and there were a few others states in which it was also 18.
I can also tell you that someone would have to instigate charges against your boyfriend. The state will not just automatically go looking for him.
To those who said that your life is ruined I want to point out that having a baby is not a fatal disease. It is a precious gift, a blessing and an innocent life. Women today can do and be anything that they want, whether or not they have a child. I have seen young mothers go on and finish high school, finish college and have wonderful, rewarding lives with a precious little child tucked right into their lives. Motherhood is an honor and a privilege, I have no idea why so many women have forgotten that.

Yes he can get arrested. My brother was the younger one in his relationship, she was 6 years older than him. Even tho he consented, meaning he wasn't raped, she was still in trouble. My mom and dad pressed charges on her as soon as they found out she was pregnant. I no one presses charges on him or reports him then y'all are ok but if someone does then well....best of luck.

yes. it is illegal, but since you are 16 your at the legal age of consent.
meaning you can say whether you wanted to have sex with him or not. by saying you were in a relationship with him and u were not raped or anything like that, he will not go to jail...i believe..but it all depends on what state u live in.
