I have PCOS and I got pg on clomiphene alone. My doctor was rather unhelpful about the whole situation and put me on the medication right away, saying that judging from the ultrasound of my ovaries I had been that way for a while. (In fact the day I was diagnosed I left his office with the diagnosis, a prescription for the medication, a parking ticket, and no more information on what was wrong with me than what I had read on the internet.)
I don't remember how much the medication was when I filled out the insurance paperwork, but my insurance did cover it. It all moved so fast for me that I went from having irritatingly irregular cycles to "infertile" to pregnant in 4 months.
Clomiphene citrate is a fertility drug (Clomid), but I do only have one baby cooking in there. We got pregnant otherwise naturally (no IVF or other preparations). My doc did an ultrasound when I was 8 weeks and when she looked at my ovaries, they were clear. No chemical menopause, no labs, just a pill and my husband.
If you're not ready to dive into fertility medication, ask your doctor if glucophage (Metformin) would possibly work for you. Another step down from there is diet and exercise. If you're overweight, losing even a little of it can help regulate your cycles and get you ovulating again. Check out Yahoo! Health and WebMD, and ask your doctor for more information and treatment options. I also found a lot books at Amazon.

Hi! I also have PCOS. I am part of an online support group called Soul Cysters. If you want to check out the website, you can find many people on the bulletin boards. You may be able to find someone who you can talk to about getting pregnant without IVF.
I am currently taking Metformin (off-brand of Glucophage). I've read that many while taking that medicine can get pregnant by just that, or by that and Clomid, or by that and other "minor" attempts to get pregnant. IVF is more a last resort type of thing for many couples.
We have been married 6 1/2 years and we are still childless. GL in your battle....because that's what it feels like.

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

Before you try IVF, try the medication Lupron, (or one like it).
It is an injection given once a month for 6 months. It will not be fun, you will go into a very pre-mature menopause during this time. Your cysts will also be shrinking, making a lot more room for a fertilized egg to latch on to your womb.
When there is interference in the uterus, like fibroids, cysts, or an IUD, the egg will not implant itself, you will just have another horrible painful menstruation cycle.
After the 6 month therapy, your OB/GYN will guide you into pregnancy. Many women I know have been successful, I gave them the shot! Good Luck!
