My daughter's will be having their second and thrid birthday parties together in 2 months. Their father and I have no clue what theme to use. I've asked both of our children what they want and they say "Dora, princess, spiderman, pablo(backyardigans), diego, superman, and frogs." They want to use nearly every party theme I have asked them about. I figured a princess party would be best but my husband disagrees. What do you think? I do know that we are having their party at a park. We will be having a cook-out.

I say.. At that age they won't really care what the theme is. Pick one that you and your husband are comfortable with.. with girls you usually can't go wrong with a Princess theme. Don't leave it up to the children to decided because I know that they will want everything that they like.. but they won't get dissapointed if Dora or Frogs aren't there. Don't worry too much. I have a 2 year old and for her birthday I chose the beloved Princess theme and she loved it because there are multiple characters on the plates and hats, etc. So she had a lot to talk about and a lot to get excited about! Do what ever is easiest for you and your husband and run with it! Good Luck! And Happy Birthday to your girls! :)

I think the Backyardigans idea is cute as well...

I think a princess party is fine for outside though. They are little girls! I'm not sure how many people you are having, but I have seen dress-up kits at craft stores. One of my friends got this for her daughter's party and had all of the girls dress up. It was so cute!

Dora and Diego would fit the outdoors cook-out. You could also do a rainforest theme.

Why not go to the dollar store and buy their girly themed party set? This will save money, it will be cute, and still fun. When people ask what to buy, just give them a toy or book idea.
Good luck
