Me & my unborn baby's father are no longer together and he wants a DNA. I have gladly obliged w/him footing the bill for the test. I know he is the father and he can waste his money if he wants; however, he says he doesn't have the money to get the DNA anytime soon. But my Dr. is inducing Thursday Feb. 8th, 2007 and I am pretty sure I have to fill out the birth certificate before me and the baby comes home. My ex wants her to have his last name but I am a little bitter since he hasn't shown any interest in her, me, the pregnancy or birth and he says he will not give me any support until he gets the DNA. So legally, what last name should I give her? His legal last name or my maiden name?

but because there is a foreign body in the womb it doesn't inbed itself, isn't this like having a kind of miscarriage or is that completely not what happens, and if you are anti abortion would you then not consider having the coil.

it's not like a twitch like a startle reflex and it's not like the involuntary muscle twitches when falling asleep that we all deal with....this is a rapid twitch sometimes just his arms and one time it was arms, legs and head.

we are getting a referral to a ped neurologist, but while we wait i thought i'd ask you guys....
anyone ever see this in their babies?? he's about 4.5 months.

take care!

Besides a light cold for a cause and "relaxing" for a response (we know both), we are specifically wondering if:

1) we should stop his daily day-care (he is picked up for a half hour walk in the morning to the center)?

2)anything else to do?

I am almost 7 weeks pregnant with my first child. My husband and I have been discussing names, but I wanted some opinions. Obviously, we don't know the sex of the baby yet, so we have both picked out.

If it's a girl, we are most-likely going to name her Lily Michelle (Michelle is after my sister).

If it's a boy, we have the middle name picked out, but are unsure of the first name.
Gabriel William (Gabriel is after my husband and William is after my dad)
Gunnar William
Hayden William

What does everyone think of these combos, or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!

A cousin we have on my husbands side likes to hit and shove our 3 year old son and tell him things like "shut up", "your stupid". We totally disagree with the behavior. His mother sat right by him when he did this to my son and she said nothing - he was not punished. He's 6. I was so shocked I left. She is very irresponsible - I don't want my son to think this behavior is acceptable. Any advice??????

I have had a vasectomy done 3 years ago and now I am wanting another child. Is it possible to have sperm removed from the testes and have them artificially insemminated? I am looking for ways to have kids without having to get a reversal done. Would that be better? I just want to know all of my options. Any advice will be helpful as long as its serious.

I usually hurt in my lower back but now I'm hurting like in between my shoulder blades and up into my neck. I go to the doctor tomorrow morning but I was just wondering if anybody else is experiencing this. Thanks!

If one signs it and it's the other's child, can that be fixed easily? How do I go about changing a child's last name once I find out the paternity of it? Do I have to give the biological's father's last name to collect child support?

There are many reasons in today's state of society to NOT leave your son unattended outside the washroom, and there are unavoidable moments where a public washroom must be used. However, I wonder until what age is this appropriate, and are other women and girls uncomfortable with this?

I am expecting my second child(a boy) in June. My daughter will be 21 months when he is born. My partner works long hours so I will be pretty much on my own.
I'm starting to get nervous about how it's going to be, what if the new baby is really different to the first and is really moody?
What if my daughter hates her new brother?
Any advice from parents of 2 or more children about anything would be appreciated.

My son is 16 and he is a great kid. He is smart, charming and kind. On the flipside he is lazy. I mean really lazy in school and at home. What can I do to help him realize he needs to put it in gear and prepare for the future. It is hard for teens see the ramifications of the their attitudes and actions. Any new approaches will be appreciated.

We are thinking of putting our daughter into pre-school, but I still feel that she is too young. Once school starts it doesnt end for 12-13 years not including college!! Why not give them as many years at home as possible? She will be 4 years old in April. Just want to know what you all think. Thanks!
