I've been having a lot of back pain here lately. But yesterday and today its been a little different. I usually hurt in my lower back but now I'm hurting like in between my shoulder blades and up into my neck. I go to the doctor tomorrow morning but I was just wondering if anybody else is experiencing this. Thanks!

I sit at a desk all day for work and I have a pillow behind me but that doesn't seem to help any.

Yes, i've had two kids and it's very much the same. Your spine pulls foreward the further you go along. There are simple exercise you can do to help this....if you get on all fours and arch your back up and down it strengthens the muscles. It really worked for me - I gaind 50 lbs., so my back REALLY hated me! Also, a heat pack in teh evening before bed is VERY helpful!

The larger you get the more pain you will have. I had 3 children and the Doc. called it acute lumbar pain. As far as the pain in your shoulders I have no idea what that is unless you are stressed about something that can cause a tightness in the shoulders and along the sides of the neck. I don't recommend taking anything unless prescribed by the Dr.

thats totally normal. im 32 weeks pregnant, and have had pain between my shoulder blades for the past few months now. it all depends on your posture. mine isnt good, so i hurt between my shoulder blades. it helps to sit with a little but firm pillow behind your back. it helps your posture and relieves the pain. hope this helps! good luck with your pregnancy!

I am 29 wks & yes, my back hurts quite often. I have not experienced it so much in my shoulders, except when I am too stressed. I carry all my stress in my shoulder blades anyway, so, I just chalk it up to that. Good Luck & God Bless!

I have that pain now, after holding my three month old son all day :) But never when I was pregnant. It sounds like too much tension. Are you still working, carrying a lot in your arms, or perhaps building baby furniture? Or maybe too stressed out...just try to relax and spend most of the day resting.

i am 29 weeks and have the same problem. it's just the way that your muscles are trying to overcompensate for your center of gravity changing as your belly gets bigger.
