our child has food shelter toys educational devices medicine attention love ect......they came to my home and said that my child was in danger because there were 3 blankets in his crib.What gets me is half these workers don't even have children please help me im so scared and worried any advice to stop them from taking my baby will be recieved with the utmost gratitude

My mom is a foster parent and this doesn't sound like a truthful case...
It takes a lot for a social worker come and take a child. I would know, a family is being watched and will not take these children from the parents because they are not being "hurt" or can't find a "reason" to.
If they have more on you then this story, other children being removed, drug abuse, to many ER visits, past experiance with the law or a number of other thing. They are watching you, or someone close to you thinks that you are unfit...where is the father of the baby? Is he the one that reported it? Think of people that you have had over that may have said anything about the blanket...if that is what the real reason is.
In a case that they take a child, the parents are given a list of things that need to be taken care of, finding a job, cleaning up the house or taking classes. Then you need to maintain that life style change, you will be checked on unanounced to make sure. These jobs are a list of what is not being done correctly. You can set up visitation with the child. If you have a trust worthy family member(someone that is not in any trouble...ever helps), they could get a provider lisence and care for the child while you are taking care of business. They may say that you can not have contact with the child for a while...meaning you can not go over there whenever you want.
The best way to find out what happens in your county is to ask the social worker what the reasons are and if you can have a second chance(if you didn't have one already) ask for a report of what the accusation is. Don't be rude and argue, these people are just making sure the child is safe. Work with them to provide a solution not more problems.

Child Protective came into my house and took my child too. But it was because we were using drugs. I can't believe they would be able to take a child because of 3 blankets in the crib unless those blankets were covered in filth or something. I stand amazed that they were able to even take my child because she never saw anyone using! But the environment was made unsafe by all the people around and us who were staying buzzed. We were just plain foolish to think otherwise. When we cleaned up our act and got the drugs out of our lives, along with all our druggie friends, we got our daughter back home again and that was really tough on us. Something else must be wrong in your situation that you have not told. By the way, Child Protective is like God, all powerful. So you'd better go easy and try to comply with their demands or your child will be gone, and quickly. Get real with yourself and realize the reason they took your baby. Do the next RIGHT thing and show that kid you really care. Only you can make things right for yourself. Get a good attorney!

They have to really have a real good cause to take your baby from you ..so if you are actually telling the truth then you have nothing to worry about. you can say you were doing laundry and just set the blankets in the crib when they came to the door. So that won't be a problem. but if the baby is malnourished or has bruises or marks on his or her body then you have big problems. They can take the baby away from you and place it in a foster home. if it does come to that see if your baby can stay with a relative grandma, sister aunt...someone that you trust so the baby is not with a stranger. Babies don't need blankets in the crib until they are 12 months old. good luck and my prayers are with you.

I have a VERY hard time believing that CPA would remove your child from the home over a few blankets. One of two things is happening here. Either you are making up this question, or you are lying to yourself and to us about what is really going on.
In fact it takes a lot before they will step in and remove the child from the home. The last thing they want to do is remove the child. It make much more work for them if they have to remove.
I suggest that you sit down with your worker and have a discussion about what is really going on. And then do whatever they tell you to do. Just because CPA is involved does not mean that you are going to lose your child. Listen to what they are telling you and follow their advice.

3 blankets in the crib is excessive... how old is your child? blankets can pose a suffocation risk, and babies really don't need them anyway. just put your child in warm pj's.
blankets in the crib is not a reason to take a child away, so dont worry about that. but why was child protection at your house in the first place?? THAT is what you should be worried about.

I think that there is more to the stopry than too many blankets in baby's bed. I would be calling my case worked with CPA to find out what the problem is..they have way more pressing cases than too many blankets in bed.

There had to have been a reason that they took your child. Have you had previous children taken, have you tested positive for drugs, did someone turn you in for bruises...there is a reason. A judge will NOT sign a warrant without probable cause. Good luck and find out exactly why and FIX IT!~

I am sorry to hear you are going through this, but, there must be more to their concerns than too many blankets. You must insist on seeing the report, and then fight it if you feel it is unfair. Try a local legal clinic to get legal advice.

the baby can suffocate with that many blankets. who reported you? i would be careful on who you let in your house from now on! tell them you will do whatever they want you to do! you will take classes, get in-home counseling, whatever it takes! even if you don't need it, do it! you have to please them or else! the state is really messed up!!!! i can vouge for that!!!
