I am almost 7 weeks pregnant with my first child. My husband and I have been discussing names, but I wanted some opinions. Obviously, we don't know the sex of the baby yet, so we have both picked out.

If it's a girl, we are most-likely going to name her Lily Michelle (Michelle is after my sister).

If it's a boy, we have the middle name picked out, but are unsure of the first name.
Gabriel William (Gabriel is after my husband and William is after my dad)
Gunnar William
Hayden William

What does everyone think of these combos, or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!

I think that Lily Michelle is very pretty! I really love the name Lily. For a boy, I like Gabriel William or Hayden William. Gunnar makes me think of guns. Congratulations!

Lydia Michelle; Lavonna Michelle; Kaylani Michelle; Davonna Michelle; Daynoda (a phonetic spelling--as it sounds--of "danada"--you're welcome in spanish. People might call her something else, if you wrote "Danada") Michelle; Abitha Michelle.

I like Gabriel William. I would spare the baby the name of Gunnar...it's tough-sounding, but the joke factory would be non-ending (Hey Gunnar, where's your weapon? Hey Gunnar, you got any bullets?) Other suggestions: Devon Wade; Andre William; William Rafael; William Dairyon (there was a wedding commercial here last year--the preacher pronounced the guy's name "Darren". The guy said, "No, that's Dairyon." I loved it. It would phonetically be (it was never spelled in the commercial) Dairy-ah-n.

Heath William
Blake William
James William
William Willaim( just kiddin :) )
Nick William

*No offense but I don't think you should use Gabriel for the reason that it is your husabands name. The way I figure, everyone wants their own idenity and having the same name as your dad, like Gabriel II would kind of dimminsh the sancity of identification. My name is Juliet and I am glad that I am different and people will not referr to me as my mom's name. The middle name would be fine for Gabriel or William, just not the first

I love the names Hayden and William, Gunnar is a bit awkward and also...you want your child to have a somewhat international name, right? Check babynamesworld.com, it's really helpful and you can find the origin and the meaning of the name. Good luck!:)
