I was wondering. You hear people tell you not to drink soda, but why do some tell you it's okay to drink tea. Doesn't it have a lot of caffine? I was just curious.

I found out that I'm pregnant last week and am really trying to quit smoking. I've gone from 25-35 smokes a day to only 2 or 3. I would really like to use the patch as I know from experience I'd be able to quit completely. (I quit for 2 years before using the patch..unfortunately I went back to smoking). Why would my doctor have a problem with me using the patch? Anyone know the answer??

fruits if i mix it with applesauce. She has ate all the different kinds of fruits and veggies but she only likes pears and applesauce however she will eat other kinds of fruits as long as its mixed with applesauce. Is it ok for me to feed her this way.

My 10-year-old son Tyler gets good grades in school, but his teachers keep telling me he is acting out. I've noticed a definite increase in energy with him. I'm constantly punishing him for beating up his 4-year-old brother.. The fact that he isn't struggling mentally with a learning disability cancells out ADD. Is my son just naturally hyperactive? I'm pregnant with my 4th child and I don't have the energy to chase him around. Has this happened to any other mothers?

What time does your toddler go to bed? What time does he/she get up? How is is he/she? My daughter is 21 mos and sleeps 8pm- 5:30 pm, but my daycare seems to think she is still tired in the am. Just trying to see what the "norm" is

My son is 2 (will be three in april), and i am running out of ideas for what to feed him at lunchtimes...it always seems to be sandwiches, a few pieces of fruit and a drink..then a packet of yougart covered raisins.

He doesnt seem to mind the same thing all the time, as he always eats it all, but i want to give him something else for a change!!

Any ideas??

I have a newborn who is a week and three days old and she breast feeds and drinks Enfamil with Iron formula. Every now and then when she's a sleep she wakes up, gets real tense, and cries for about 5 mins at a time, and the cry is like a "i have to poop" cry. Her stool is very soft, and I don't understand. could she have a lot of gas from both kinds of milk, or getting stomach aches from it? should i stop breastfeeding?(she only breast feeds when she doesn't want the bottle and I pump and give it too her when I can fill at least 3 oz worth)

is there anything i can do to help soothe her? this is my first kid and i'm really new to all of this.

I already have 2 sons: Tyler(10) & Seth(4) and a daughter Gabriella(7) and now I'm expecting my 4th (and last) child. We know its a boy. I'm looking for names that would go with our last name Zimmerman. My husband's name is Matt so we don't want to repeat that.

For some unknown cause I stopped having a period, I went without for about a year possibly longer then my doctor had me do a progesterone challenge 10mg for 7 days to see if that would induce my period, well not only did i get it, but it was pretty heavy with alot of cramping probably due to all the unterine lining building up over the past year. Anyways she wants me to start using progesterone cream every month the last 10 days of my cycle to see if that gets me anywhere, 2 weeks after my period stopped I had spotting for 2 days then it suddenly stopped could it be i had ovulated? or possibly implantation bleeding? Is it even possible to ovulate after the first period you have had in a long time? have had everything checked out that would be the root cause to missing several periods and everything was perfect, not PCOS nor menopausal only 20 years old.....so what do you think the spotting was? 21+ please or experienced...do not want stupid comments

He is a good student, he has such difficulty. Lately is he has been spending more time studying than playing. I talked to his teacher, and she stilled insists that I continue to push him. I have him seeing speech therapist. He also is in tutoring 3 times a week. He has good vision and hearing. I am looking for tips to help him learn at his pace. I see his fustration. I don't want him to begin to dilike school. How can I make learning easier for him?

my wife and I have been together 5 years and have had 2 miscarriages. My wife is wondering if it was because she was taking ginger to combat the morning sickness. She has 5 very healthy kids from a previous marriage and no miscarriages.

My mother-in-law thinks that we are going to call her as soon as I go into labor. She wants to be waiting in the hospital while I am giving birth, and is hoping to be in the room along with my husband and I during the birth. We told her we had other plans.

My husband and I agree that we will call everyone about 2 hours after the birth so we can have time to spend alone with our firstborn.

Everyone lives in the same city, so I don’t see the point in having everyone wait at the hospital when we don’t know how long I will be in labor.

When did you have your family visit your new baby in the hospital? Did you call them as soon as you went into labor? Or did you call them after the birth of your baby?

He's actually 3 and 5 months, anyways he knows what the toilet is and what it's used for, he just refuses to use it.Anybody have any suggestions?He has 6 diapers left and I was thinking that I'm not going to buy anymore and see what happens.It takes me 35 minutes to drive to the closest town that sells diapers.I know I'm in for alot of crying when he runs out.Do you think this is a good way to try to get him out of diapers?Please help me.Thanks.
