my daughter will be 17 months old next week and she goes to sleep between sometimes 9:30 and 10-11pm and gets up at 9:30-10am.
Did you mean 8pm-5:30am?

I think that at 21 months she ought to still be getting 12 hours of sleep a day. My 3 y.o. sleeps 8 to 5:30 but also takes about 1.5 hr nap in the after noon and my 15 month old sleep 7-5:30 or 6 am and takes a 2-3hr nap in the afternoon.

I have a 16 month old boy. He usually goes to bed between 8 and 9pm and gets up at 6:30 am with Daddy. He then falls back asleep when Daddy leaves for work and sleeps until 8 to 9 pm. I thought it was a little odd at first, that he was sleeping so long, but I was reassured that this was normal for a child his age. Don't worry if yours sleeps a lot. Pefectly normal!

My son is 19 months and sleeps from 8pm - 8am. I though that 12 hours was normal but everyone seems to think I'm lucky to have such a good sleeper, so I don't know what normal is. I guess what's normal for your child is normal. If they are an early riser, they may still need an a.m. nap and that's okay. Sometimes it's as simple as not going in there too soonif they aren't crying or wide awake and letting them fall back asleep for a little while longer, especially if it's still dark out! Good luck.

At that age my kids were sleeping from 8 pm to 7:30 am plus afternoon naps. Kids that age need 10-12 hours of sleep each night plus a 1.5-2 hour nap each day. If you're going to get her up that early she needs to go to bed no later than 7 pm.

I have a 3yo & a 2yo. Bed time is at 9:00/9:30 or so and they're up at 6:30am.
If she's tired in the morning then tell your daycare to nap her. You want to spend time with her in the evenings.
