No, but I would laugh about it when the kid and kid's parents weren't around.
Sounds like a pharmaceutical commercial "It's a Claire Remedy for acne..."
Yeah, I know I'm going to be boo'd and hissed, but at least I'm answering honestly!

I did not, and would not, make fun of someone for their name. I was teased enough as a school kid to know how much it hurts. :( I wasn't teased about my name, but about other stuff.
Anyhoo, unfortunately the truth is that children can be very cruel to one another. There will always be plenty of kids who jump at the chance to tease someone over an unusual name. That's one of the reasons I feel so annoyed when I hear about all the purposely misspelled and/or oddly made-up first names people give their kids these days. Remedy is actually not bad at all compared to some of the stuff I've seen around here. Seriously. :)

I don't make fun of kids names. But I do not like Remedy for a middle name.

I like the way the name sounds, but if I were to use it, I would do some type of variation on the spelling. Rimedi or something. Make it appear to be an exotic or foreign or family name. Otherwise, she's going to end up with nicknames like "hemmorhoid remedy."

I wouldn't make fun of Claire Remedy, but if someone's name was Remedy Jones then i would make fun of that person.

I like Remedy for a first name. WOW! I respect your creativity and hope that name works for a first because it is unique and also very beautiful... Remedy Leigh or Remedy Marie....beautiful!

A last name, no. A middle name, that usually isn't used in school, so should be safe with it. I do love Claire.

If it's a middle name then kids won't make too much fun of it. I don't think it would be a very good idea as a first name. It is kinda cute!!
