Pregnancy & Parenting - 31 January 2007

I asked this earlier, but I'm hoping for more responses. Please don't tell me to take a test, I plan on doing that of course...I just don't want to take one too early or take one if it's not necessary. I'm just asking to find out if anyone else has had something like this happen and how it turned out for them. I had unprotected sex and then approximately two weeks later started having light bleeding. It lasted about a week...I heard implantation bleeding can last that long, it just depends on the person. It was either brown or pink in color, no red...it wasn't like a normal period for me at all. It was extremely light instead of heavy and didn't come with any strong, painful cramps. It also came a WEEK earlier than I expected my period to come...they're usually very regular and I've never had spotting occur before. I should've had a "normal" period start on the 28th and it didn't. So was it just a strange early period or could I be pregnant? Has anyone experienced something like this?

there's this guy, and everytime i talk to him on AIM on MYspace..he never answers back. I go hey..how come you never answer and he either goes "away" or doesnt answer. He's not even TYPING. The other day-yesterday, actually, my cousin goes, are you made at me and dejana? and he goes, no. And at school he doesnt ignore me or anything like that. not that we ever talk person to person really. but its not like he looks away. and yea he's the guy in my last question-should we just be friends. Why is he ignoring me????????

TMI I know but... My husband and I have been baby dancing like crazy which is making it difficult to check my discharge because I can't tell if it is ovulation discharge or just left over semen. Is there a way to tell the difference?

I know that is a horrible question to ask. First off, I'm 14 years old. My mom argues with me until I give up. She has to always be right or she gets mad. She got my friends and I suspended from our school PURPOSELY. Everytime I apologize she forgets about it the next day. She shuts off my bedroom electricity for 9 HOURS if I do something she doesn't like. We have a bad basement, my sister and I are not allowed inside it but our washing machine is in there, so she does the laundry. She refuses to do my laundry but will do my sisters. She has turned my sister against me. She called me fat (I am 88 pounds) she called me a *****, worthless, and stupid. she accuses me of being a drug addict (which i am not) she blames everything I do on my anger. She told all my relatives from her side I was a horrible out of control child. She recently put me in juvenile hall just for a fight we had. (I got out a couple weeks ago) our fights get physical.
She has done so much to me. I am just confused.

My typically very obedient 2 year old is is raising quite a fight about ear drops and cough medicine now. (She's got a nasty cough and an ear infection so going with out the meds is not an option). I've tried giving pretend medicine and ear drops to her baby dolls and offering to do favorite activites afterward to give her an incentive, but no luck. Any ideas on how this can be a less painful process (for her and I)?! Thanks!

I started my period last friday and it was really light. For the next few days I was "spotting". I took a home preg. test the other day and it came out negative. My co worker said it may have been to early to detect the preg. hormone. What do you think? Should I wait till next week to retest?

Hey guys, I have only been on BC for a month now. I am actually on the pills that I start my period which I did today. I have one more pill to this pack. Ok I was thinking of just not starting the new pack because first of all I want to get pregnant, the doc had just put me on this cause my period got really screwy this past month. So anyways 2ndly I just dont like it. It makes my boobs EXTREMELY sore!! So I was going to see if I can just stop, like not take the next pack, or if I have to slowly come off of it. Being I have only been on it for a month, I didnt really see the big deal. But like I said I really want to get pregnant, and have had a rough year with trying, did the fertility drugs and all that, but figured since I started today, I could get me some ovulation predictor tests and see if maybe possibly I get a positive and try then. Is this possible you think? My periods arent like clockwork, but it came this past December without any type of meds. Should I try w/out and see?

hi,i just found out iam pregnant,iam 35.3 months old and ill be 35 years 11 month when ill deliver.i have healthy 2 yeras old s i donot have any history of birth defects etc in my family infact many ppl delivered healthy babies after 35 without any test. i have a history of spontaneous ist trimester abortions in past (2) now iam dead afraid of having a amnio ,i can go for all the noninvasive tests but i am scared of having another miscarriage . i want to have a peace of mind that amnio gives but dont want to lose a baby that is normal. iam alone in this country without any family or good friends , so thats for sure that god forbid i would go for abortion if its not healthy that i hope will never happen, iam an extremly indecisive person so i need lots of advices , if all the noninvasive tests that is u/s and blood tests comes out clear should i go for amnio or not?
has any one had all noninvasive tests normal and found something on amnio...
please hel

anyways? I mean if they produce 4 million-250 million sperm and you have sex everyday, shouldn't there still be more than enough sperm in there to get pregnant? Men are constantly producing sperm. Even if they are having regular sex, so why would it lower a chance to get pregnant if he has a lot of sex? I'm confused???

Shes a young mom, only 19 her sons 2 (going to be 3 in july) and im 31. (yes im older than her get over it) Weve been dating for a year and a half. Your probablly thinking "hes only 2 he doesnt know better" but thats wrong, hes a VERY smart little boy. Hes so bad though. He wont sleep in his own bed, she lets him curse and talk back to adults, he slaps her and i all the time, he calls me daddy even though weve talked to him pleanty time about it. Hes does whatever he wants and everytime she puts him down he crys !!! I CANT STAND IT ANYMORE i love her to death and i can accept him but he drives me crazy, the worse part is she ENCOURAGES this type of behavior !!! how can i tell her to disipline him without making her mad ?

My cousin found out she was pregnant a little while ago. She has been looking at names none stop. Currently, she's only looking a female names and she has a lot. In early pregnancy, do you feel symptoms, especially mild cramping & headaches, more at night than in the day? Also, my nipples aren't that sore, but they are slightly harder than normal. Does that sound like a symptom?
