I'm afraid probably you're not pregnant anymore. What could've happened is called 'chemical pregnancy' . Sometimes the sperm and the egg unite but the zygote never settles to the lining of the uterus. When they first unite, the hormone levels start to rise in your body and that's what shows up on the pregnancy test as faint positive. These modern tests are very sensitive so they can show hormone level changes before the implantation. If the implantation never happens, then your hormone levels will fall and your body will flush it out..therefore the pregnancy tests will give you negative results. I would think it's the case with you especially that you're still spotting. I am sorry if this happened to you but this usually happens when something goes wrong very early in the process. You can have healthy babies later on and there is no way this loss could've been prevented if you did something differently or better.
Just to be on the safe side, repeat the test in a few days...but until then you can google chemical pregnancies for further info..
Good luck!

i think what u had is a chemical pregnancy, but now u are not pregnant, look into the web for chemical pregnancy and u will know all about itTest Results and What Causes Them
A false positive pregnancy test is when the test says that you are pregnant but actually you are not. This is a one off case and a positive pregnancy test is a pretty good indication that you are pregnant. False positive pregnancy tests are rare - though there are instances and conditions where they can occur.
There could be various reasons for a false positive test.
A chemical pregnancy is basically an early miscarriage. Research has shown that half of all first pregnancies end in miscarriage. Due to the high sensitivity of home pregnancy tests, many women catch early pregnancies but end up going on to have their periods due to a chemical pregnancy

There are usually only false negatives not false positives. I would take another pregnancy test. It could also be a miscarriage. I know that many women have two or three miscarriages a year without even knowing it, just because it only lasts long enough to have it end like a period. Take another test. If it's positive go to the dr. Good Luck! :)

It sounds like you need to go see an ob/gyn doctor. Some women can bleed during a pregnancy. But on the other hand the weak positive preg test means that you were or are pregnant . But the test if neg know I would go see a doctor. Even if you did miscarriage you don't want to get any infections or possible cause yourself harm in the future for yourself.

Yes it is. False positives on pregnancy tests basically don't happen. The hormone that it searches for is only high enough to make a preg test positive is only present when pregnant. It sounds like you probably had an early miscarriage. In m/c you'll bleed for a few weeks. You should see a dr just to be sure.

Hey it took me 4 pee test and one blood test to find out that i was pregnant and that was all done within a 10 day period and the funny thing is is when the last test showed positive they took me in for a emergency ultrasound and then discovered I was about 3months pregnant! it happens everyday so if I were you go see a doctor or a gynaecologist there specialist in the female area so they would have better answers

possibly a early miscarriage. This does happen to many women frequently without them even knowing! I would monitor the bleeding and if you have any symptoms such as feeling extremely cold, weak, fatigued, dizzy, lightheaded or even confusion, fever or excessive bleeding-get to the hospital. Drink some water in the mean time and repeat the pregnancy test in a week or so. If the spotting continues for the week just check in with your doc.

that is a hard one to call. you could have just had a bad pregnancy test it may have been dated wrong or left on a shelf in the cold or heat which would cause it to come out wrong.
If it doesn't stop with in another week I would check with a dr. incase you have an infection.

If you got two different answers I would definitely set up an appointment to see a professional. Maybe you could have done the test wrong or it could be a number of other things as to why.

Once you have a period for a week and repeat pregnancy test is negative suggests that you are not pregnant.but you may be having a prolonged period known as polymenorrhagia.
