I'm on the depo shot. Is it normal to bleed sometimes? I've only noticed it when I've had sex because it is left behind as a residue on well...my boyfriend. Please help...

Yes, it is very normal. I think the longer you've been on it, the more it will happen. I'm not a huge fan of the depo shot. I was on it once and when I went off, I bled for 3 months straight!

OK, i know exactly how you feel!!! I was on the shot for about two years and every now and then i would get some bleeding but the thing is it wouldn't stop! Sometimes i would bleed for like 2 weeks or more until i went to the Doctor to get these special little tablets that would stop it. Then other times i wouldn't bleed for ages. I stopped having the shot about 7 or eight months ago and it then took me at least 6 months to even get a period again! This shot can really mess up your body. You should really see if it is worth continuing. You should also go and have a chat with your doctor as he/she is the only one who can actually tell you what is going on inside of you. Good Luck and i hope you get the answer that you need.

The Depo shot is aweful for periods, it can cause them to cease or to not stop at all. Then again there are the times when you don't have an affect from it. I spotted also during the shot. Good luck

Sure, I got my shot every other month (this was 5 years ago) and every time i needed to get the shot again, i started to spot. You might have some minor irration caused from having sex, I wouldn't worry.

Yes, it's very normal. It's called breakthrough bleeding. You may want to talk to the dr about bleeding after sex.
