I noticed recently that there are alot of families having 3 or more kids.

How do you decide how many children you have?

And how dos this affect your sanity?

My friend has 3 and I have 4. She was telling me just the other week that "4" is the new "3". HA HA HA I know that sounds funny but I know a LOT of families having their 4th children and they're not Mormons or anything. I love having 4, I actually have 5, one is in Heaven (m/c baby at 6 wks).

We have 4 living children because I never felt my family complete until then. Honestly, I'd still have more if my dh wasn't done. I LOVE MY KIDS and my life but I have to admit sometimes it is just crazy! I've heard a lot of women say I lost my sanity at 2 (or 3 or whatever), what's one more (two more..)?

I have 3 kids. My husband and I originally planned on just 1 (I have one from a previous marriage) but our 2nd well she was an "accident' but well worth it. We love all our kids very much! I worked with a guy him and his wife have 15 kids! Crazy huh?

As far as sanity...I never seem to have a moment to myself. I work, come home and the kids want my undivided attention until they go to bed (9pm sometimes later) and i have to be up at 5am to get ready for work. I get home at 6pm or 7pm. But when I feel I'm about to lose it my husband helps out with the kids...without him around I don't know what I would do with 3 kids!

I have 3, one on the way. One is my stepson but since we have custody I've long ago felt like he was mine. I still haven't decided if I'm done or not. I feel like I will just know. My sanity? Ha! No really, you just learn how to handle everything the best you can. To me, the smiles, laughs, and hugs outweigh the puke, misbehavior, and messy rooms.

I am 24 and I have NO children. I think kids would actually be good for my sanity. I love kids!

We have two, and have taken the appropriate permanant measures to ensure no more. We took into account money (now and in the future--think college) among other considerations. My sanity is fairly well intact at the moment.

I have one on earth, one in heaven. I plan on a few more, but my sanity was out the door long ago lol.

My cousin about 3 years ago got pregnant and thought she was having twins, but found out it was quads! She's definitely done for now. She and her husband are trying to save for their kid's future....which will be expensive. But they are the most darling children ever....although i may be biased on that decision.

We have 2 right now-trying for our 3rd. We are stopping at 3. We came up with that # because I wanted more than 2 ( more like 4) but my husband wanted to stop at 2-so COMPROMISE- 3 it is =)
