I asked this earlier, but I'm hoping for more responses. Please don't tell me to take a test, I plan on doing that of course...I just don't want to take one too early or take one if it's not necessary. I'm just asking to find out if anyone else has had something like this happen and how it turned out for them. I had unprotected sex and then approximately two weeks later started having light bleeding. It lasted about a week...I heard implantation bleeding can last that long, it just depends on the person. It was either brown or pink in color, no red...it wasn't like a normal period for me at all. It was extremely light instead of heavy and didn't come with any strong, painful cramps. It also came a WEEK earlier than I expected my period to come...they're usually very regular and I've never had spotting occur before. I should've had a "normal" period start on the 28th and it didn't. So was it just a strange early period or could I be pregnant? Has anyone experienced something like this?

I just answered this question for another person a minute ago. That exact thing just happened to me, and I am pregnant. I got spotting about a week before my period was due. A day before I was supposed to get my period I took a test and it was positive and again the next morning. Two days later I went to the doctor and they confirmed I was 4 weeks and 4 days. I hope this helps!

I saw this question and I just HAD to answer it. My periods were on a normal 28 day cycle, then stress affected it. I too experienced what your talking about...that was the start of my now very off period. (anywhere from 22-32 days!!) I thought that I was pregnant too so I took the test and nothing. So, I tried to let it go and get back to a normal life and wouldn't ya know next months period was on time..then the month after that it was crazy again. I think I have taken over 7 pregnancy test in my life. The one thing that I have learned is that when it comes to us women and our bodies a questions is not a stupid or dumb question....and the best answer seems to always come from our obgyn's. I would wait until next month and if your "normal" period comes then just go with the flow..no pun intended. If its early or doesn't come at all...then call your obgyn. Good-Luck to you.

Ok first off go ahead and take a test... my pregnacy test showed up positive only a week and like 2 days after conception and i had my first ultra sound when i was only 2 wks and 4 days so defently get a test and if u are pregnant..... my friend found out she was pregnant pretty early too and she started bleeding and she went to the hospital and they told her that it was just her body getting rid of the extra blood that it did not need...so maybe thats what happened to you and if you are then congrats!!!!

I think you've answered your own question. Yes, it sounds like implantation bleeding, and if so, a pregnancy test will tell you for sure. If not, than it was a strange early period. Our bodies are such a mystery....you never know what all the bleeding and cramping and weird discharge is all about. Very confusing!

I hope you get the answer you want!

I've had protected sex that has done that, and I was perfectly fine. I've also noticed sex can delay or mess up periods to begin with. Sometimes mine was a week early, or two weeks late.

to be honest, it does sound like you're pregnant. however, if you're not, that means something else is wrong. a doctor would be able to more properly diagnose you.
