If you are trying to read your own ultrasound pics, please stop! If you don't have the proper training and experience, it is VERY difficult to tell, especially if you are less than 30 weeks pregnant. An umbilical cord between the legs can look an awful lot like a penis, for instance. If you want to know, as the ultrasound tech.

They should have told you when you got the ultrasound done...How many weeks are you? I'm assuming you're not very far along because they would have given you the option of knowing the sex when they did the ultrasound if you were far enough along. You have to be at LEAST 17 weeks..and thats THE earliest you can tell...If you are past that, bring the ultrasound pics to your next appointment and ask your doctor. If he/she doesn't know then ask to see a sonogram tech or request another sonogram.

Asking the ultrasound technician is always helpful. They are experience and know what the heck they are looking at. At my last ulterasound me and hubby thought we were looking at the head. Turned out to be the bladder. But, we asked. Its a boy.

They wrote mine on my ultrasound but since they didn't on yours, look for something aroudn the middle like below his stomach that could resemble a penis. That would let you know if you're having a boy. That's all I could really think of.

The other answer really is right. You need to have an u/s tech (at least) be the one to guess your baby's sex. And honestly, even though they do it all day long, they're even wrong.
