I started my period last friday and it was really light. For the next few days I was "spotting". I took a home preg. test the other day and it came out negative. My co worker said it may have been to early to detect the preg. hormone. What do you think? Should I wait till next week to retest?

If you don't get a regular period by next week, definitely retest. Light periods can actually be the egg implanting in the uterus. You may even have cramping when that happens. Definitely retest!

My friend was spotting at the beginning of her first pregnancy (pinkish tint) Its a possibility. Test again in a week, but best thing to do is have it done by your physician. Even if you arent pregnant you should have the sudden irregularity checked out.

Most tests can detect if you're pregnant or not right away. If you're still worried, take another test. I doubt youre pregnant though.

all you can do is retake the test in a week or 2 and by then your HCG levels SHOULD be high enough to detect if you are or not.

I think that if you have been spotting, you're likely not pregnant. I'm sorry.
