How do you check your cervix? What should it feel like if I am indeed pregnant? What should I be looking for? Please any advice would be appreciated greatly!!

I'm 11 weeks and all I do is snack all day, it's like I can't get full. I've never gained much weight in any of my pregnancies, the most was 11 pounds total, now I'm always eating.....what can I do? I eat fruit and I try to eat healthy, but I can feel that I'm gaining weight, and I'm not against it, but if I keep up this rate I'll be huge......any suggestions?

I'm 3 days late and no period yet, but I tested with an HPT this morning with first morning urine, and it says negative. I checked my cervix, and it seems very low and soft. What can this mean? What should the cervical postion be 3 days after a missed period? Thanks!

My son has weighed 25 lbs now for 4 or maybe even 5 months. He was a chubby starter, 10 lbs st birth and then 95th percentile for all his subsequent dr visits. but now he seems to just be stuck at 25, has anyone elses children done this, the dr doesnt seem to think its any problem. But it seems like he should still be gaining steadily, he's just 1 and a half. thanks

well thats how i feel or maybe its just the babyblues but hes not comming home from work and hes drinking more and he seem just a diffrent person and he said hes ok but when i talk too him he seem fine but a little while later he seems so distant, I mean it is what it is im gonna have a baby but why do things have to change?

my 5 month old has a really bad cold. she is coughing so bad. she can't rest, she normally sleeps all night with 2 naps 1 1/2 hour long during the day .we haven't slept in two nights. she is still eating normally and she has no fever. she is going to the bathroom normally. i have done the warm bath, gave tylenol and nothing seems to help. how do i help her rest??

My 13 yr old is so obsessed w/ older boys (16), myspace, etc that she is turning in work at school that is incomplete, or fails it. I have her in a tutoring after school program, I've taken away her computer, her cell, her weekend plans etc and I'm still seeing the same results...rushing through work, not caring, Weve met w/ teachers they say she is painfully shy (duh) wont ask questions, We have had several talks w/ her, she promises to bring them up and does, for a few wks then goes back down to C's and under. What in the world can I do?

YA RIGHT! Thats what I said too! This woman told me her baby was walking, yes walking unassisted at four months old. I thought she was full of it. I didnt say that to her because I didnt want to be so rude. But, I think she was lying to me and that is even more rude right? Do think she was lying? This is impossible right? Or am I just being close minded?

I think I am pregnant but a test taken last night ws negative, as was the last one I took 3 weeks ago. I do plan to see a doctor, so am not relying on this, but am curious, how far along were some people into their pregnancies while still getting negative results on home pregnancy kits and also, if you could name the brand you were using; I used Superdrug own brand ones...

My hospital has a policy of inducing at 12 days past the due date. I have felt all along that the dates are wrong and the baby will be late (of course i don't know this for sure, just a gut instinct). I don't want to fit into the hospitals policy to keep them happy and am thinking of cancelling my induction, or at least postponing it for another week.

My oldest daughter (6) still has toilet isues. She doesnt really potty her pants all the way but as we call it, tinkles. She used to tell me and I would have to get her new panties and wash her bottom but now she just gets them herself and doesnt wash and she tends to have really nasty smelling bottoms.(goes through ~6 a day ) Not just a potty smell either. One time I took her to the dr. and she had a U.T.I. because she holds it so long. So long that you can see her sit on her heal to hold it in. I am getting very concerned about her. Most of the time I catch her holding it and tell her to go to the rest room and she fights it even though I know she knows she has to go. One time she even said "I hate it when you realize I have to go" Is this just a ploy for attn. I have 2 other childeren one of which is potty trained and let me tell you I never knew it could be so easy. Almost never has an accident and has been potty trained since 2 years old!

Okay, so me and my bf been having sex since June, and since we been having sex my period date keeps getting pushed back (is this normal?), Like, back in June I was coming on around the 25, then in July it was like the 28, then Aug, like the 30, then Sep, I think I came on the 2nd, And so forth?? This has never happened to me until me and him started having sex, and he is my first so I wouldn't have any past experience if it is normal or not. Okay and about being pregnant, I was supposed to get my period the 5th because that's when I got it last month, today is the 9th but nothing, (and like I said my cycle has been changing like crazy, so I don't know), but I get this feeling like I'm about to come on, and I check and it's just clear discharge. Please help, I don't know, Sorry for the long question, just need help. Thanks in advance

I'm about to go crazy. My daughter grew out of size 4 underwear and apparently most brands skip size 5 because all I can find is size 6. They are too big and she constantly picks what she calls "front wedgies". Does anyone know where I can get size 5 girls underwear?

We have a junior who has dropped out of clubs, didn't play soccer this year, doesn't want to get a part time job, and just seems happy to sit home and watch tv. Her good grades haven't suffered. How do we teach that life requires more than a minimum effort?

Hi,

I had my baby just over two weeks ago and he's the best thing that's ever happened to me.

During the later stages of the pregnancy, I started to really worry about the labour and how much it would hurt. All of my friends who'd had children told me that yes, it did hurt, but it was a good pain and you forgot about it immediately afterwards.

They LIED ! I was expecting it to really hurt, but nowhere near as much as it did. If I have another child I'll definietly get myself booked in for an epidural !

My question is.... Am I just being a complete wuss, or is there anyone else out there who found it the most unbearable, excruciating experience ever ?

We have been trying for more than a year last month my period came early and this month it was due on the 6th. I took a pregnancy test today and it came out negative. yesterday and this morning i had dark brown spotting. Any seggestions? I can not get into the doctor and i am worried to death? What do I do?

I was just wondering how many women had to have an emergency c-section, and what the dr's used to close it. I had to have an emergency c-section going on 4 years ago. They had to cut from hip to hip cause my son had the cord wrapped around the top of his head. After 11 1/2 hours of labor they did a c-section. After the c-section, the dr told me that all that was holding my insides in was, I think she called them tarry strips. They look like small pieces of glauze tape.

She doesn't listen, & she fights with her sisters constantly. (if shes not around her two younger sisters will play all day without a fight)She is very loving and very quick to say she is sorry but its almost like she can't control herself.
Time outs don't work, spanking works only temporarily and sending her to bed ..everynight.. only makes my job harder(she needs a bath, ect)Does anyone know any where I can get some help?

Every one around me having children, including my little sister, and I feel like time is not on my side. I know everyone says I am still young but I feel like this is the time. My 10yr.old son has been complaining of a stomachache no pain just nausea, and has had diarreha for about a week. He has been going to school but today he felt bad and looked pale, no fever. What could it be and what can I give him any suggestions thank? He also is always sneezing in morinings only and sounds always congested and nasaley. Ihave always seem to have these problems with him. Should i take him to see a stomache specialist?

I have always changed clothes in front of my son (who is now 2 years old), without even giving it a second thought. My husband doesn't like when I do this so I'm wondering if it is inappropriate at this age or if he is just being a butthead.
