Before I answer, I should tell you I am Prolife in practice, but not in politics.

He'll get out of jail someday (if he even goes), Your baby ain't gonna come back to life (or at least it's pretty doubtful.

He may dump you in a few years (days maybe?), anyway, but that Baby will call you "Momma" and love you till the day you die.

If you aren't ready to have a baby consider adoption (even to a close family member). If you aren't ready to be pregnant consider abortion (But that is something my sister still cries about 20 years later), and it was very difficult to have kids later on.

CONSIDER A PLEA BARGAIN NOW!!!
Judges and the American court system is kinda rational. If you boyfriend isn't some chicken-**** pussy. He should be able to stand up for his actions. With the help of your parents and you, he may get off with probation.

Depending on what state you live in, you could marry him and then to some degree it is more legal. But yes, in many states the paternity test calls for legal action.

Most importantly, ask yourself, what kind of 24 year old dates a 16 year old? I think you got played, even if you don't want to hear it.

You are age to consent so that might save him. However; if your parents want to they may be able to if you live in a different state than me. Your parents probably won't want him going to jail so he can help you with the baby. Congrats. don't let this stress you out it could harm the baby. Tell the father of the child if you haven't already. Good luck Talk to your parents. I know at 16 that seem impossible but you can and make them listen.

I hope so. A 24yr old man has no business being with a 16yr old girl. Whether you have the baby or not will not determine whether he is sent to jail or not. If your parents want to press charges it has nothing to do with pregnancy it has to do with sexual contact.
You may think it's really cool now that you have a 24yr old boyfriend but when you are 24 you will realize that no "normal" 24 year old man would even consider dating a 16 year old child. That's called pedophilia and it's disgusting...

If the age of consent is 16 in your state no one can do anything, also since a baby is involved he can not work and support the baby in jail.

If your parents don't have a problem, then no. But if you split up and take him for child support, more than likely he will. That just happened in New York where I grew up. A girl got pregnant and didn't stay with the father. He was very young when she got pregnant and now the baby is almost 3 and she took him to get child support and they went back to when she got pregnant and she is now in prison for rape charges. A felony. Good luck.

Unfortunately, it all depends on what state you live in and if your parents approve of this relationship. If he doesn't know what is up then I'm going to be real you should tell him. I'm not really going to talk about you guys age difference but if he is ready to be a father and you a mother then what ever makes you happy. Some advice research your state laws talk with your parents. See what his plans are for life and pray that God will work everything out.

whether you have it or not has nothing to do with him going to jail. there are laws regarding statutory rape. even if you consented, it is against the law in most states. Question is, do you want the baby, will you and can you take care of it, love it, etc. properly? Not just depending on governmental aid? Will the father help or his family?

Why dont you think about these things before you lay down with someone? Then you wouldnt be asking these questions and by the way yes its called satutory rape ecspecialy considering you are under the age of 17 and he can go to jail.

Statutory Rape my dear child....yes, you are a child. Whether you have the baby, whether you do not, he has penetrated you and you are a minor.

So even if your parents DONT press charges, if the County or Commonwealth Attorney finds out they can press charges themselves!

More so, if your parents approved, they can get into trouble and be deemed unfit, and you would become property of the state.....

So yeah there's alot of trouble going to come up soon

You having the baby has nothing to do with his going to jail. His having had SEX with you is the issue, not the baby. It will depend on what kind of judge and lawyers you have.
