We have had sucess with Hylands teething tablets and Boirons teething liquid. They are both homeopathic and can't be harmful to try. Sometimes these things do make a baby sleep, but not because of any chemical in it, it is because the baby feels relief from the teething pain and discomfort and can relax enough to fall asleep.

I wouldn't give my baby anything edible to chew on until you have started solids (usually after 6 months) and know that there is no allergy. You can try a piece of ice in a mesh feeder, or an ice cube made from breastmilk in a mesh feeder.

Okay, this is going to sound crazy, but it's been handed down through generations in my family. My father teethed on this and I was teethed on it as well as "all" 4 of my children....
Pork chop bones. Sound weird? Not at all. Just make sure you get most of the meat off, and not only does it teeth excellent, but they love it cause of the flavor.
With my grandson, I would debone the chop before cooking and put the bone in the microwave for him. (Making sure all the little meat parts were cooked). He loved it.......That's all I've ever used.
So were talking 100 years or so, of pork chop bones in my family.
Seriously, try it! !
Good luck! ! !
P.S. In instances of pain, I always used a cloth that I dipped in boiled clove water. Just get your every day cloves and boil a few in a small amount of water..This deadens the nerves.
Try it on yourself first if you'd like....

I never used any of the tablets or the gels, some of the chemicals in those I just didn't want to give to my children. I gave my children a frozen waffle and they loved it,it was soft and very cold and it helped them a lot, I know it sounds a little strange but, It worked
