To check your cervix--wash hands, find a comfortable position-but be sure to use the same position every time, insert 1 or 2 fingers and feel for the cervix. During ovulation it will be high at the top of the vagina, soft like your lips, and wet. Other times of the month it will be low in your vagina, firm like the end of your nose, and very little or no mucus. During early pregnancy the cervix rises and softens. It can take several cycles to distinguish cervical changes as they can be very subtle.
I've noticed a lot of other women on this board seem to think checking ones cervix is dangerous or can only be done by a dr. but this is simply not true. It is perfectly safe and can be very helpful at acheiving pregnancy, avoiding pregnancy, and helping you learn about your body and cycles. Get Toni Weschler's book Taking Charge of Your Fertility and read it.

The doctor checks your cervix. I don't think you can do it yourself. The most common side affects of pregnancy is morning sickness, being tired more than usual, sometimes smelling food or eating food can make you feel sicjk or get sick. But some women don't feel any different. The only way to be positive is getting a pregnancy test.
Good Luck.

It's hard to check your own cervix comfortably. An ob/gyn could better do this for you. If you suspect pregnancy, go to the dollar store and purchase a test. That's a more accurate way for you to determine if you are pregnant. Besides, you don't want to cause possible damage to the cervix if you are.

Honey you do not check your cervix. That is something that your Dr. does during an examination. Your Dr. know what to look for, how a healthy cervix looks and feels, and what tests to run to make sure that your reproductive system is healthy. This is not a self-test

dont stick your fingers in there you are setting your self up for an infection only a trained doctor should. take a pregnancy test to confirm pregnancy. never stick your fingers in your own vagina. fingernails have germs and can spread like wild fire. even freshly washed hands
