i have a two month old girl and since she was born she has been wearing name brand cloths. we brought her home in a Tommy Hilfiger outfit. all i buy is mostly from baby gap, ralph lauren, and tommy. i never had none of that stuff when i was growing up and i said i would give my child the best of everything even if i went without. alot of people thinks its crazy to buy an outfit from gap for close to 60 bucks wen they dont even get to wear if for long. Am i crazy? if i keep on do you think it will affect her when she gets older and thinks she can get anything she wants? so what do ya'll think

she has a cell phone and i have caught her using it after curfew and now i found her texting when i told her i wouldnt allow it and she figured out the code to get into texting. i am so frustrated that i dont know how to punish her. any ideas.

p.s. she has been grounded from her phone, computer, and social priveleges for the past 2 weeks.

Okay situation is: My husband has horrible eyesight, yet the mother(ex) never took their kids in to get their eyes checked UNTIL the oldest daughters first year in Kindergarten, when the teacher said something. And the daughter did end up having a severe eyesight problem. Now both children are in school(kindergarten and 1st) It is a year later now, that same daughter has been in first grade for ONLY 3 months and the teacher is all ready suggesting that she needs to be held back because of her lack of reading skills. She is not sounding out the words but instead just taking a guess(saying the word "call" is the word "peanut")and "reads" them very quickly..which is why I think she is memorizing the books.
Now, my husband says "no kid of mine is getting held back"....and insists that it will cause problems if both of the kids are in the same grade. I feel like he is more affected by the thought of his child getting held back than the child would actually be!

just for laughs...

haha once I was at a basket ball game, and there was this girl in front of my who had a HUGE butt crack showing. So me and my friend took little bits of granola bar, and we started throwing them at her, seeing if they could go in. that sounds stupid, but it was so funny, especially because the girl didn't notice, and there was a lot of granola in her crack. wonder if she was confused later on? lmao.

Ok, I am pregnant for the first time and scared to death of giving birth!!! I want to know how bad the pain is before you are allowed to get an epidural. I also want to know how long you have to wait to get an epidural. I want to hear from women that had it easy to women that had it really bad. I don't want to go into labor and freek out because I'm in so much pain, I just want to know what is "normal". My mother-in-law told me tonight that she just had cramps REALLY bad and then she got her epidural. She says that you don't really remember the pain, that thats part of life's way of making it eaiser.

i am 9 months pregnant and i was due today but the doctor said that i am still at 1.5 cent and he said that if i dont go into labor soon that they will enduce my labor. has anyone had this done is it safe and is it worse than natural labor. and if not how long did it take you to go into labor after your due date???

My friend is broken hearted because she has to send the child she has cared for for 2 years back to a bad situatuation, her and her husband already adopted her older brother abd was in the process of adopting her , when the Aunt decided to make a claim for this child.
The childs mom is a bad person ..used drugs throughout her several pregnancy's ..left her kids with a legacy of Fetal Alchohol Syndrome, and Hyperactivity and attention deficit disorder and a whole array of other things...and now they have given custody to the Aunt who will of course expose the child to the bad parent again as she see's her regularly.
It's wrong and now they have run out of appeals 2 years later....how can the supreme court make such a bad bad decision and get away with it ? is there nothing my friend could do ? the little boy is so upset that he is losing his sister.....I have no faith in the justice system of Canada ..any others have similar experiences? Can ANYTHING be done now? or is it too late ?

Is it safe to cover my 3 week up with an afghan in her bassinet? I've heard that they can suffocate with blankets but she won't sleep without a blanket. I figured an afghan would be pretty safe because of the holes in it and its one of the only blankets she'll sleep with. Any advice?

I am 28 weeks pregnant as of last Sunday. Yesterday I experienced a trickle of a clear liquid (which I thought was a urine leak). i am 11 yrs old and i am in 6th grade and im going out with this twelve year old guy who is in 7th grade. Ladies would anyone be interested in starting an online book club simular to what Oprah Winfrey has, we all read the same book and discuss it, I'm into comedy/drama such as "Running With Scissors" and the one I'm reading now called "Jesus Land" which are memoirs. But are funny and very dramatic at the same time. Fiction is great too as long as it falls within the comedy/drama catagory. I am due for my period anyday now. Took a test and of course a big fat negative. I have taken clomid for some time now and guess I have to move on to a different procedure. When caculating on the due date calculator, I get all different dates on when to take the test. My first date of my last menstrual cycle was on October 9th. My cycle does not come on time every month, sometimes a few days or week late. I guess that is why I can't get pregnant. I have such menstrual symptons, so I am assuming since the test was negative and I have these period symptoms then it is a no go. Are then any other fertility drugs to help getting pregnant before I see a Fertility doctor? Sorry for the rambling, just down in the dumps right now after seeing that negative line. I was really hopeful this time and feeling really positive.

How can you appeal this ? can you get an injunction to stop their decision?
They have decided in their infinate wisdom to send a child back to a very bad enviroment....a child that already has been in the system because her mother used drugs and still does ...now they are sending the child back to a family member that will have lots of contact with the bad parent ..It's not right .....that poor baby is being taken from her own blood brother and the loving parents that adopted HIM out of the same bad situation.....How can this happen ? it's unjust .....the mum already had 10 or so kids ...all the time using ..most of them are adopted or fostered out ..and have FAS ADHD and a bunch of other medical conditions because their mum used when she was pregnant with them..now the Auntie has won this child in the court case .and this sweet little girl will be put back there...its wrong....no justice in Canada at all ..how can they do this ? How can my friend appeal this ?
