I am due for my period anyday now. Took a test and of course a big fat negative. I have taken clomid for some time now and guess I have to move on to a different procedure. When caculating on the due date calculator, I get all different dates on when to take the test. My first date of my last menstrual cycle was on October 9th. My cycle does not come on time every month, sometimes a few days or week late. I guess that is why I can't get pregnant. I have such menstrual symptons, so I am assuming since the test was negative and I have these period symptoms then it is a no go. Are then any other fertility drugs to help getting pregnant before I see a Fertility doctor? Sorry for the rambling, just down in the dumps right now after seeing that negative line. I was really hopeful this time and feeling really positive.

It's just a little harder for some women to get pregnant. Keep trying and when you least expect it is when it's going to happen. Good luck and keep your chin up!!!

How long have you been on clomid for? Clomid will make you ovulate and is supposed to improve your luteal (post-ovulation) phase, but it also has some negative effects like thinning your uterine lining and decreasing the amount of fertile cervical mucus, and these can, ironically, make getting pregnant more difficult. The effects seem to be cumulative -- they get worse the longer you are on clomid -- so that's why most fertility specialists will say that you should not take clomid for longer than 4-6 cycles. Also, statistically speaking, if clomid hasn't worked for you in 3-4 cycles it is not likely to work for you at all.

That is not to say you can't get pregnant. There are many other things they can do for you. Go and see a reproductive endocronologist -- a fertility specialist. They will run more complete testing on you and your partner, and recommend a course of action. If you don't test positive for anything in particular, the most likely next step is IUI (insemination). Insemination can bypass many problems and many people get pregnant that way. Don't despair, there is so much they can do for you.

Don't give up just have fun making a baby and don't stress to much. I have found that when you stress to much over getting pregnant you just don't get pregnant. This happened to me ones with my second son and now it is happening again.

Make sure that you are not ovulating right after your period that is how I got pregnant ones. My period came april 23 left on april 28. On April 28 I did an ovulation test because I had the feeling that I was ovulation and it was +. I had bd on april 28 and couldn't have bd because of the weird symtoms I was having and exactly one month later I got a + test.

I don't really have an answer to your question, but I want you to know your not alone! My periods are very irregular too. Sometimes I don't even have them and it makes getting pregnant so hard. Everytime I get excited about it it's always negative. But my advice is don't get discouraged. It will happen. I know I should try taking my own advice, but it is hard. Best of luck girly!

First off you heard this before RELAX 2. abstain from sex a little while like 2 weeks and then when your ovulation go at it like rabbits .Have you tried those ovulating detectors ? then you would know when to have sex.also If your too acid it will kill his sperm you may want to do a water douche before having sex so you won't kill his sperm.

Also make sure he not to hot change from briefs to boxes that way he won't get so hot down there and be shooting blanks

Trying to Conceive - Helpful tips for getting pregnant
Find out when you are ovulating
There are several ways you can do this. One of the easiest ways is to purchase a Basal thermometer and start charting your temperatures. You can use Justmommies free fertility chart to record and keep track of your temperatures. Make sure you take you use a basal thermometer.

It is the most accurate for charting ovulation. Take your temperature as soon as you wake up, before you get out of bed, go to the bathroom or do anything. Try to take your temperature at the same time every morning if you can. This way your chart will be more precise. The best time to have sex is between the time your temperature drops and before it rises again.

One other way you can find out when you are ovulating is by using an ovulation predictor test. You can purchase ovulation tests in bulk online to make it more affordable. Ovulation kits measure the amount of Lutenizing Hormone in your body. Right before you ovulate your body releases a large amount of LH. The test kits are easy to use. They are very similar to a pregnancy test. You will have a reference line and then a sample line to compare that to. Once you show a positive test for ovulation you should have intercourse within twenty-four hours.

Some of the best ways to predict when you are ovulating are by watching your body for signs of ovulation. Some women feel cramping on one side when they ovulate. Ovulation pain should not be the only thing you watch for but it is one indicator of ovulation. You should also keep an eye on your cervical mucous. You will notice that your cervical mucous will pick up several days before ovulation. When your cervical mucous starts to look like egg white and becomes really slippery, this is the best time to get pregnant. The slippery consistency helps to carry the sperm up the vaginal canal. Some doctors recommend taking Robitussin to help thin out your mucous which will help to transport the semen.

Some dos and don’ts for getting pregnant

Do limit movement after intercourse. Standing up after intercourse can cause the semen to leak out. Try to wait twenty minutes after sex before getting up and moving around.

Do try to keep the sperm inside your vagina longer. You can hold the labia together to try to keep the sperm inside of you. You can also try putting a pillow under your pelvis to help tilt your body so the sperm can travel upwards easier.

Do try to make sex enjoyable. Sometimes when a couple is trying to conceive it will affect the quality of their sex life. More enjoyable sex means higher sperm count and better “swimmers”.

Do limit intercourse and male masturbation prior to the days you are trying to conceive. It will help to increase the man’s sperm count and improve your chances of getting pregnant.

Do take prenatal vitamins if you are trying to conceive. Folic acid and other vitamins are very important during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Don’t drink alcohol or use drugs at the time of conception. This applies to both the male and female. There is strong evidence that alcohol can effect your chances of getting pregnant.

Don’t douche after having intercourse. It can wash out the sperm that has just entered your body.

Don’t have oral sex prior to intercourse. There is some evidence that the bacteria in the mouth can cause damage to male sperm.

Don’t have anal sex prior to intercourse. Bacteria in the anas can be carried into the vagina from the man’s penis. If you do have anal sex before intercourse, make sure your partner washes his penis first.

If you have been trying to conceive for over a year please consult a doctor. You may need to have tests run or use fertility treatments.

Most importantly, are you married? If you are not, don't get pregnant. If you are married, is it a good marriage? Would your husband be a good father? How does he treat you? How well do you really know one another? There are serious considerations before planning on bringing a child into this world.
