Even if you knew you were certainly going to die if you continued to fight. Is it better to die in battle than to deal with permanent incarceration and torture at the hands of your family's killers?

An example would be someone that the Mythbusters or Smash Lab call to do controlled demolition and explosions. Also, what type of companies would someone like this work for? Thanks for your responses!

We are in a fight whether or not to move to a more secular society, where Religion and State do not mix very much. But more and more I'm seeing the Military being brought into this fight. Should the Military be part of this? Should God ever be seperated from the fighting man? I'm not talking the Military establishing a religion for the forces, but the Military to be able to openly show its belief where it exists?

america went into WWII for two reasons: the pearl harbor attack on dec 7, 1941, and germany's declaration of war on america a week after we declared war on japan.

lets say pearl harbor didnt get bombed, and the japs left us alone. but roosevelt, being the pro-war asshead he was, probably wouldve pushed for US entry into WWII. would you support or oppose WWII then? explain why or why not.

Since Nixon to Reagan/bush to Bush the usurper the true agenda of everyone has been subverting the checks and balances of the Constitution to create an imperial presidency that favors corporate and not social interests. This is based on the fallacy that capitalism is the best system when its flaws like the flaws of Communism are FATAL to social interests in the long run.
sooo what can we do to stop the traitors leading us down the primrose path to a corporate fascist hell

Basically the U.S. isn't doing well in Iraq, but they could still pretty much destroy any other nation on earth... Blackwater USA could overthrow some of the smaller governments. How many years before this dominance is lost?

If I were President, and you were an advisor in my war room, and I asked you what the likely world-wide response is to a nuclear device being set off in Israel by an Islamic Extremist group, what would you tell me the likely International response would be?
For example, Israel then blows up Iran, who in turn blows up ......
Many believe that WW3 (if we're not already in it) will be started this way. So what is the likely worldwide military response, etc. to such an event?

We would suffer very few American casulaties if we stopped worrying about the people who will eventually grow up to be terrorist or those who are giving birth to them. Those under the age of accountability would be instantly in Gods shelter and those older have had the opportunity to choose.

I just got some new NASA and Air Force patches from a local store and I was wondering where to put them on my jacket. I know the NASA one is supposed to go above my left chest pocket, but I'm not so sure about the Air Force one. I also got an American flag patch, but I know that it's supposed to go on my left shoulder with the stars facing forward, right?

My husband got orders to Germany while he was in Iraq and had to extend in order to bring his family with him because he didnt have enough time left. He had planned on getting out, but got suckered into extending to be with us. So I quit my job, changed my degree and school, sold our house, most of our belonings and our second car to come here. When we get here, no one had any idea that he was coming and the slot for his MOS had just been filled by someone else...so they moved us here and had no where to put him. Now, he has been stuck at brigade headquarters where his MOS is not authorized and has been pulling ridiculus jobs and details for 5 months. A complete waste. Someone told us that he can file for breach of contract after 6 months od being in a unit that is not authorized to have him. I needed to know if anyone knows if this is true and what army regulation states this. Any advice from anyone...my husbands losing his mind and Im really starting to hate the army. Help !

Hey, Soldiers who have been in the "sandbox"...

Did you have an experience similar to this? http://www.helium.com/tm/763207/deployed-getting-ready-again

Share your story if you want! I just want to see how true-to-life this is for other deployed Soldiers (obviously it was for me).

Please read the experience before you answer, though! Thanks! :)

My niece and nephew are living with us because their mother is in a transition finding a new place to live. My niece seems to have some sort of chronic bronchitis. Her brother was allowed on medical when he was with his mother but she was not because she is the dependent of a marine. He deploys to Iraq in February and has yet to fill out the proper paperwork to get her health insurance and a military I.D card. I cannot afford to add her to my health insurance because they want an additional 600 a month. What do I need to do to get her the military insurance she is entititled to as a dependent of an active duty military serviceman?

I have also been informed that I would have the opportunity to choose submarine, surface warfare, or aviation within the supply corps. With those 3 opportunities, I believe that I would choose surface warfare and aviation as my primary selections.

My follow up question is what these options would dictate....For example, I imagine that aviation would more than likely have me serving on a carrier. And to go beyond that, what are the advantages/disadvantages of serving on carriers as opposed to smaller ships?

Thanks again!!
