I just found out my mom has HD, and I have a 50% chance of having the disease as well. If I get tested positive, will the military discharge me? I have no symptoms. What should I do? I want to have children, but I'm risking passing on the disease if I do have it. But my biggest concern is not having any health care benefits if the military discharges me. I've been in the Air Force for 4 years.

I was watching some videos on youtube of nuclear explosions, and when that wave (i don't know of what it is) comes, it destroys everything but the camera stands still and keeps recording. How does it keep recording?

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing
blue every Friday. The reason? Americans who support
our troops used to be called the 'silent majority' We
are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for
God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We
are not organized, boisterous or overbearing.
Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends,
simply want to recognize that the vast majority of
America supports our troops. Our idea of showing
solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and
respect starts this Friday

I have recently completed my MBA and have been in contact with Naval recruiters about becoming a supply corp. officer. After OCS and "A" school, I have been told that most junior officers are assigned to a ship that deploys at 6 to 9 months at a time.

My question is whether or not a typcial supply corp. officer would be expected to leave the ship for any form of combat? I was under the impression that as a member of the staff corp., a supply officer would not have the authority to lead men/women into battle.

Thank you for your time!!

We want to find out what the needs are for our troops fighting right now, we heard they need silly string and pre paid phone cards. I want to hear from anyone who knows someone in the military or knows what the real need is for our troops currently fighting the war, maybe even if you know who we can contact. This will be a "project" and learning experience for our Girl Scout Troop. We have 14 girls ages 8-17, so please let us know what we can do to help?!! Thank you so much for your time.
