How much training does it take? I would only like to hear from military personnel. Especially if you have flown one. Thanks!

Training is easy if you have the talent.

US Army Aviation here. A lot of stupid answers from people who have never flown a double rotor heavy lift helicopter.
The training is intense, but not that difficult. It takes a year to train an Army Aviator. It starts with classes in the mechanical aspects of aerodynamics and ends with hours of practice. You start with a small training helicopter and transition into the larger types by your aptitude and the army's needs. You can be a Kiowa pilot, a Black hawk pilot, a Chinook pilot, or an Apache Pilot. They are all different approaches to rotary wing flight. As a rule the Chinook pilots are in the upper level of grads since they have the responsibility for a lot of passengers.

If you have a knack for this sort of stuff, you can learn to fly it in a couple of days, but there is more to it than that. You have to learn about navigation, law, and all sorts of other subjects regarding aviation.

About as much as it does to go from a single engine to a twin as a private pilot. Maybe a bit more.
