Personally, I believe he had EVERYTHING to do with it! What's your take?

Okay, let's look at the players:

Musharif: stands to loose power BIG; he can't let that happen.

Al Qeda: change Pakistan from covert base of op's to OVERT base of op's.

Taliban: destabilize Pakistan; move Musharif out, move in to fill the power void.

That's who has to gain from this and everything to loose. I feel it's worth the speculation as it will influence US foreign policy.

Don't know. I lean towards the Taliban or Al-Qaida. Both would like nothing better to destabilize Pakistan and cause Musharif trouble as he has been less than accommodating to them. Plus, they thrive in chaos.

i agree with rotor. the taliban or al queida seem more responsible because of the fact that bhutto wanted america to invade pakistan and get rid of extremism. she was a threat to their power and their beliefs.

Indirectly I think he did. I don't believe he had a hand personally in it but by allowing the terrosist to spread and reform in the Southern portion of the country he gave them a base of operations to work from. Like I said, I don't believe he ordered her death, but as of right now, all options are on the table for who killed her.

Not very much, she was taken out by the Muslim fundamentalists who believe women have no place in politics.

And are only fit to work in the house and raise kids.

Evidence must be gathered so that Musharif will be held liable for the assassination of Bhutto.

He put up with terrorist bases in Pakistan. He was protecting them. She said "point blank" that she would eliminate terrorists. You can't figure this one out????? They took her out before she could get them! He had nothing to do with it!! USMC 60-68

He certainly had the most to gain. Further, what did Al Qaeda have to gain by killing her? Yes, very suspicious...
