Oh right, I forgot. We're only "winning" now, like we've supposedly been doing for years. Like the Washington PR people have been telling us every 6 months or so. I guess we'll just have to keep surging and "winning" for years and years into the future.

Winning and Won are two completeley different things!
We were winning in WWII in 1944. But it was not won until the following year. What would the world be today if we stopped after Iwo Jima, are in the Arden?

The news says that Bush is bringing home 30 thousand troops in July, but who really knows. I hope its soon though.

When the situation on the ground warrants it. The troops have been saying it, Bush has been saying it, the generals have been saying it. How many more times do they have to say it before it sinks in?

I don't know if you were ever in the military, but as a vet let me give you a little information.. If you set a public time table for withdraw then all the enemy has to do is lay low until that date and hit you when you are withdrawing or attack and kill anyone who helped you (Vietnam). Our guys will be back as soon as they can.

You're going to have to temper your expectations.
Winning does not mean an automatic ticket home for US troops.
There's still alot of work to be done even after there's no more shooting.
