Yes, of course. With such a long border with the U.S., Mexico has no choice but to be allies with the U.S.. Besides, the U.S. is such a dominant military power that Mexico is more or less protected by the U.S..

I think not because I've been to Mexico and they don't really like any Americans there. Since they are both fighting a drug war, Mexico said it would not like the presence of the U.S. military in their country.
