I am in the Navy, and I would still have to say Army bootcamp I imagine would be slightly harder. Either way they couldn't be much different, and I don't know Army requirements for sure, but I think I remember someone saying a 2 mile run? Navy bootcamp is a 1.5 mile run. 12 minutes or less (for first age group). And as far as it depending on MOS (Rate for Navy) it shouldn't matter, at least for the Navy. They all go through the same thing, then when you go to school it could be harder or easier depending on your rate. Seabees (ooh-rah!) I know have harder PT than most others in the Navy... (of course SEALS is the hardest). I'd guess Army bootcamp is slightly harder than Navy. But all the bootcamps are just like conditioning. Cuz people are soft nowadays. Playing video games all the time, if they just throw them into the PT they should be doing they will get hurt. It's like weaning a baby off a mothers tit...

Not even close, the navy basic training is the most easiest BCT in the world, so hey at least you can admit your weakness which is always a good thing. In the end It doesn't matter what branch you join, you are still doing something that you can be proud off, at least you are doing doing something that many people are afraid of doing, and that is making a commitment to serve and protect your country. Good Luck Squid do you.

After being through both, Navy at 17 and Army at 44, I'd have to say Army.

I don't remember Navy bootcamp being all that hard. The real fun started when we arrived on the gunline in vietnam. All those working parties 3-4 times a week. We'd bring on 800-1,000 rounds of projectiles plus the same amount of powder cases, all by hand. Never got to handle the projectiles but I'm told they weighted 90 -120 lbs depending upon what kind it was.

If your talking about the regular Navy then probably the Arny basic is harder. Remember however that the Marines are a division of the Navy and I am almost certain that there basic is harder.

Depends on what branch the person answering is from or liked the most. ANY Basic Training is only as hard as you think it is. Although the Marines have Boot Camp not Basic Training.
