The first step is to talk to your Army recruiter.
Then you will be tested for your physical and psychological profile. If you don't pass those two tests, your out. If you do pass them, then you can enter the Army and start your training. Then it's up to you if you make it.
cheers.

Enlist, Complete Basic, CHOOSE a MOS that can be used in the Rangers ie: Combat Medic, Commo, Weapons Repair etc., Complete that MOS.Last I heard the Rangers wanted E-4 and up. But after you get MOS qualified apply for Ranger School. Before being accepted you will have to pass a diff. PT test, Physical Exam and possibly a mental test. IF you get excepted to attend the school it will be up to you to meet the standards. It will not be like Basic Training where we work an endless amount of time to ensure that ALL Soldiers qualify. In Ranger school you either make it or you leave.

No. Generally speaking, women aren't allowed into combat arms which means serving in the Ranger Regiment is a no-go. They also can not attend Ranger School.

Go to the nearest US Army Recruiter and enlist into the army, ask for RANGER SCHOOL and
if you are qualified, the US Army will send you to
RANGER School at Fort Benning, Georgia and interest you into going to Airborne School at Fort Benning, which is also important for your RANGER Training. RANGER School is very hard
and Physical. Only about 20% make it. Good Luck!

First, you have to be infantry, communications, medic, forward observer, or psychological operations (they aren't rangers, but they go through ranger school in order to operate with and support rangers.)
Then you have to be airborne.
Then you have to go through RIP. Ranger Indoctination Program gets you in physical shape for the school. The school is one of the hardest physically, so if you get the chance to go through this first, do it.
Then you go to Ranger school. To get in you have to pass the P.T. test with a score of 70 in each event, in the 17-21 year old category (regardless of your age, they use the youngest age category).
At that point, unless you are PSYOP, you will be most likely be placed in a Ranger battalion, either at Ft. Lewis or Ft. Stewart. PSYOPers are all stationed at Ft, Bragg, and again aren't rangers perse, but are Ranger qualified and operate with them and Special Forces units sometimes.

Visit your recruiter and tell him that you want to become an 11B (infantry) and demand jump school and Ranger school in your contract, then prepare for the longest year of your life
