What are the long-term military implications of illegal immigrants populating the United States of America?

Not in a military way but in a political way yes. I don't for the life of me think that the masses of illegal immigrants poses a violent risk other then the few who are criminals and deserve life in prison. As a serious population block however they pose a political risk to the United States following in the foot steps of Mexico. If they gain political power (right to vote) which amnesty proposed by many political leaders gets them there is little reason to suspect they would vote for governance that is any different than that of Mexicos.
