It might have been a secret mission during the Vietnam War. Seven men representing 5 countries were to sneak behind enemy lines into China to assassinate the leaders of comunist parties in South East Asia. There is a book about it and that is the only information I can find about it. So someone with information about it please help me out.

And did all that money came from the wallets of the American people? Did the American people agree and authorize the spending of 500 billion dollars of THEIR own money?
I wonder if that money would not have been much better spent in improving helth care for all Americans instead.

I asked this question before but didn't really get alot of answers. I am 29 years old and a 8 year Navy vet. I am currently in my second year of law school. I also have a family.

I am applying for the air force JAG Corps as I want to go back into the military. I can retire in 12 years. If I am not selected for the JAG, I am still considering going for the Air Force ROTC. Doing so would mean that, although I would graduate with a J.D. I wouldn't be able to practice law, possibly for 12 years.

However, my family would be taken care of and I could possible retire in 12 years. Not to mention there is a chance that my last year of law school could be paid for and even receive a monthly stipend...

I would appreciate any and all "helpful" advice.

I have been seriously considering the ROTC program when I go to college. I am a junior in high school now but I would like to know as much information about it as I can before I graduate. Has anyone been in the ROTC? Or known someone in the ROTC? If you have or known someone, I would love if you shared your experience or your friends experience with me thanks.

I'm going to join the United States Marine Corps and become an infantryman, and I would like to know where it is I might get deployed. What with the war on terror going on for more than half a decade now, I would guess that they would probably ship me to Iraq or somewhere in the Middle East to fight terrorists.

Is this the only place our military is currently stationed? If they are stationed in other places, what exactly are they doing in those other places? It's not like we have a war or anything to fight elsewhere in the world, right? I don't know much about the military or it's operations, so I wouldn't know.

Our government has proven time and time again that when they try to meddle in military affairs our troops just end up dead. So I say when shiit goes down leave it up to the professionals who actually know what they are doing. Rather than some dumb @ss in an aircondioned room thousands of miles away that does not know didly about tactics or warfare.
What do you guys think?

playing these stupid war and political games? Don't you think what we need to do, (even though we had no right to go to war in the first place), so that way, we will not be at risk of retalialtion?
