If he is on exodus he should have a number to call that he got prior to leaving. If he will not be out by Wednesday he needs to get a hold of someone even a recruiter or get a red cross message out to the unit so they know where he is. Most likely when he returns he will got hru a military evaluation and if they find a problem he will get discharge or an ELS. If they find he is fit for duty he is stuck.

1st of all, maybe you think people/parents can talk anyway they see fit each day. Turns out many parents are abusers. Actually they are not trying to be tough to make you responsible- they are tricking you. This goes for people at school as well. Words are abuse also. There are 3 types of abusive people/parents. Some hit the bottle. Some hit you. And some run their mouths and put you down. THEY are sick and feel great on being mean, and thats why they do it. They are wrong about everything. The typical abuser is close-minded, self-righteous and was also abused themself. Use defense and read many sites on verbal abuse etc. They tear you down to build themselves up. Psychiatrists commit fraud in that there is no medical science in what they do. They do not draw blood to test for imbalances. For chemical imbalances NO test exists. Abuse makes children grow up with all types of so called "Mental Problems" -Drinking, Cutting, OCD, Voices etc. or turns them into abusers Jesus name and forgiving others who are wrong is important along with avoiding them. Google- "Inside the Mind of an Abuser" Learn the truth, forgive, and Get Away from them. Read many many sites under "emotional abuse" and "dealing with bullies". Talk to me. I have some questions for you Source(s): Experience with people feeling better on a repeated basis.

You need to contact his Unit at BCT get hold of someone there make sure you write down names and even get numbers .and explain what has happen as I am sure they will need to verify he is actually there not by just you saying so... I am not sure what will happen because he is still in BCT though on block leave ; also what is the Doc saying?? but if you dont call to inform them he will be reported as AWOL.. but sitting around and waiting wont help your husband.. you need to contact his unit asap, look on his leave form there is contact info.
Good luck

He will return to his basic training site and the record of his hospitalization will be reviewed. Based on that he could be separated for a condition which existed prior to his entry and was not aggravated by service. He will be given a general discharge under honorable conditions. Please convince him to report back. Otherwise he will be considered to be absent over leave and can face punitive action which could result in a discharge under less than honorable conditions.

Will he be out by Wednesday? My mom had to go a couple of times for depression, and they usually hold on to you for a couple of days. Is he ready to go into the army right now anyways? He probably needs to have some time for himself right now so he can get over this. It probably won't be to helpful on fixing his depression if he is away from everyone for that long.

Well, it depends how his ailment is coded by the hospital providers. However, knowing the Military, it would be best to immediately contact his superiors and verify the correct course of action. Remember, the Miliatary has providers too and may want first hand ability to treat him. They may simply want him moved under their care. Not sure. But I suggest you contact them. After the fact is only going to lead to trouble..gauranteed.

Going back to basic? Did the Army send him to the hospital or did he go AWOL? Usually when in basic you stay in basic until you graduate. If the Army sent him he will not go back to basic until they say he is fit to do so.

Hospitalization for depression sounds to me that he is a danger to himself or others.
If this is the case, I would brace for a general discharge for medical reasons. That's just my opinion !
