Is it by serving for a long time? Or managing to kill a lot of enemies (say, in Iraq)? Or managing to save a leader? How does it work?

I'm suspicious the age limits are there for people re-enlisting.

I'm 25 now (gonna be 26 in June '08) and thinking of joining the US Navy or the Coastguard (preferably the reserves) for the first time. Am I too old?

I just don't see any other way of paying for my college tuition. It took me over 4 years to get my associate degree from a community college while working and in the meantime I messed up my credit. I don't think anyone will give me a loan with a decent interest rate now so I just don't see any other option to finishing college other than the GI Bill. Please help!

I want to work in the Air Force as a non-combatant. I'm currently in ROTC and am studying for a EE/CS degree. Is there anyway to guarantee this?

I was told by my detachment advisor that he could offer me a scholarship in regards to EE, which guarantees me the job. Is this true?

I am wondering if B-52 Bombers have been deployed in Australia
during the 70's or 80's. Maybe I am confusing this with USAF F-111's. Or maybe nothing was deployed at all. Perhaps flights came in from Guam. Anyway if any knowledge please let me know. Thanks.

My hubby is stationed in Germany and i am trying to get all the EFMP stuff finished so we can get over there with him. My question is...Will an abnormal pap smear keep me from being able to move there? I had the pap done and the colposcopy which showed precancerous cells but the Dr said that he wasnt worried about it and just to have another pap done next year. Do you think they will deny us to go to Germany? Thanks in advance!!

Logically I'd want to say you'd have to first be a member of a U.N. member nations military and you'd be chosen from there. However, since I don't know for sure I thought I'd ask around.

Saddam Hussein was murdered by the US after invading a sovereign Iraq on trumped up charges that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction. It was later shown that Iraq did not have WMD (the weapons inspectors had actually said this before) and that there were no links between Alqaeda and Saddam. In this context, how does the US try to justify the state instigated cold bloodend murder of Saddam Hussein?

I seperated from the CG 2 years ago with a RE1 seperation code/reenlistment code. How long does that last for? Is it an unlimited amount of time? Someone told me once that it was good for five years but I don't know how reliable they were.

Husband went to AF BMT on the 18th. Would the deposit go in today as of midnight the 31st, tomorrow as of January 1st, or more likely the 15th of January?

Originally he had signed up for a bank at first but then we switched it before he left so that I could be added on there. Bank is now Armed Forces Bank because USAA wouldn't do it until he was at basic.

Thanks. And everyone have a happy new year.

how do you explain a person (for 4 years of marriage) telling me that the large scar on his foot was due to stepping on a booby trap in vietnam and that the large scar on his side was from being hit by explosives and lying in a riverbed in vietnam? i just found out from his sister that they were both surgical scars from his childhood. i fell in love with a "war hero," who says he drove for pierre salinger and others, but his dd214 says nothing about anything, including ever even having been in vietnam. (he also says he was a seal/frogman) but his dd214 says nothing about any of this. we are separated, and i'm still in shock. i'm having a hard time understanding that someone could actually be such a liar. some people say that vietnam service in 1961-1965 was kept secret and off the dd214s, but that still doesn't excuse the other lies.

Hi there!
My fiance wanted to go into the marines but found somethig else he likes better in the air force.
His recruiter lied to him (and me) like crazy and either he wasn't listening or they tricked him a MEPS but anyway.. the question i have is..

When he was at MEPS he signed a contract (he told ME, he could have lied to me, but he told me they told him he had to sign this at MEPS to continue getting a physical and all) and then he said he swore in because "everyone had to swear in".
*Don't ask me why he didn't really read the contract or why he didn't ask why they were swearing him in, I have NO idea & I'd like to know too LOL

Anyway, I know his recruiter will tell him he is in and he HAS to go. Is there anyway he can get out and get into the air force like he wants?

**Please BE NICE lol I know some people on here are fiesty**

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! =)
