My DD 214 only gives date of ETS, serial # , branch., name, rank at discharge, and terms of discharge. It doesn't mention my MOS , where I was stationed.and doesn't even mention my good boy badge..

When were they expanded to include medals, etc etc. What all information do they now contain???
It it still a DD214?

There was another form, which listed MOS, schools, medals, total time active, pay due at discharge, medical issues, etc, but it was seperate from the DD214. I took this home with me, but recd my DD214 only after my time in inactive reserves was over.

Your DD214 should include your MOS and last duty station. My DD214 has all my information, time spent overseas and such, medals and commendations and GI Bill info, etc. Didn't the admin clerk have you double check your DD214 before signing for it?

As I recall, there are 4 copies of the DD Form 214. You're supposed to get 2 of them (one short, one long), and one goes to (I think) NRPC and the last goes somewhere else. So maybe they lost their copies.

I don't see why it wouldn't say what were your duty stations and what your MOS was. Mine does and so does my husband's.
It is still that same DD214

I recieved my DD214 when I was released from Active Duty in the AF in 1972, and it showed my AFSC, (Air Force Specialty Code) 90250, Med'l Service Spec, my rating E-5, (SSGT), date of entry, date of relese time in grade, medals awarded, time in service and if I served overseas, and that my separation was honorable, and if I was eligible for re-enlsitment. Maybe they do things differenly now, but as I said it was a few yrs back

if you are a Marine you will still have it on your MOL account. You will be able to access that after you get out. and your best bet would be to contact your S-1 or Legal office to get more information
