Hi

I was wondering what kind of armor would be worn during the Middle Ages and how it would stand up to various weapons (Swords, Axes, Pikes, Bows, Crossbows etc.).

How much did it weight. How as it worn. How it was made. I am interested in Erupoean armor in particular. I would appreciate any information you can give me.

Thank you

My Social Studies teacher told me that he wasn't sure of this trueness but he had heard from a number of credivle sources that said that during the Cuban Missle Crisis there was a standoff and the U.S told the Soviets if they move there ships any closer or surfaced there submarines that we would blow them off the face of the Earth. I know that this may be classified but anyone that was there could you confirm this or if not give me some nonclassified information or where i could find it?

My husband is getting off active duty in the Marine Corps, and I have no idea if I will still get an ID card to get on and off base and to use the exchange and commissary.

My husband deployed three and a half months ago. We have been living in Germany with our son. He has severe eczema and is allergic to something here in Germany or the climate makes him worse. Either way we submitted a request to return early to the states, as this wasn't a problem he had there.
It surfaced here. We had Dr's approval and everything. When the paperwork ended up on my Husband's Commanders desk over in Iraq, he approved.
The Army personel was made aware when this whole ERD started that I was going to need it done pronto, because I'm preggo and can't fly after my seven months.( flight too long) I was four months when they started it and am now 6. They assured us it would be okay. And that they would do it on time. Now they are saying it won't be done in time and I should just stay put. They sat on my paperwork for over three weeks. The Commander told my Husband I should just stay put anyway. That it causes to many problems. My son is suffering so much.

I found a bullet (from a gun). It's intact (hasnt been shot, so it's not just the shell).
How safe is it to handle? Is it unstable? Or can it get shot if I knock it with something? It's got gunpowder in it, right?
I'm just worried if it's safe or not.

Thanks

So I may be enlisting in the Air Force soon. And I have some questions about base preference.
1. How many bases can you pick? domestic and overseas.

2. What are the odds that you get to be on one of the bases you pick?

3. What are the best places to choose from?

During President Clinton's tenure, nuclear missile technology was transfered to the chinese gov't as a part of Clinton's "engagement" policy.
This technology has helped them immensely with their nuclear ICBM's.
So, how is this not treason?

Nancy Pelosi talked tough when she was sworn in as the Speaker of The House, but has she betrayed the country? The 110th Congress continues to fund the war, and now the Surge is working.

General Petraeus has said it himself, violence is down, and the number of troop can be reduced.

Has Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid betrayed the country with their surrender monkey talk in light of what General Petraeus has said?

I have 40 college credits from the Philippines, I transferred it here in a community college and I have taken up 10 credits total, studying part-time. I was a full time A/R Accountant in a hotel for a year, an Auditor the year before that. What are the chances that my experience be considered given my experiences if I want a paper pusher job (DK,PS, PN?) in the Navy? I am also planning to finish my BS during my service. What to ask the recruiter? What do I need to have them written down in paper? Is there a lot of competition in this field? Am I gonna get deployed in war zones? Thanks.
