if i remember correctly, we were attacked by outsiders. we were attacked on dec 7th, and were ordered to provide help in korea by the u.n., and were also attacked in the gulf of tonkin in 1964 and had some of our bases attacked in 1965. we didn't want this war. it was thrust upon us by someone that doesn't like us.

We don't as long as other people present a direct, credible threat to our continued existence or attack allies we are obliged to defend.

this has been happening since time eternal. Humanity has been waging war since the first man killed. It has only become larger, more technical and more efficient. When will it stop. When politicians stop in their quest for riches and power. When religions stop argueing over who is right and how best to worship an imaginary god. When people learn that violence solves nothing and destroys all that is good and right.
When mankind is no longer ruining the earth with the result of stupid, wasteful, ridiculous wars over nothing. It is not funny that nations are worried about global warming and greenhouse gasses. Has anyone calculatedhow mush pollution the current conflicts are pouring into the atmosphere on a daily basis. How much heat from explosions.
What a farce. Stop all war. But they cannot - the economics dictate that "War is good"

when we change our destructive personality to a constructive personality. We strive to make peace, not threaten and make war.

Read the constitution. Protecting our Nation and National Interest is the priority of the executive and legislative branches of our government. This means identifying those who threaten that security and neutralized it through either diplomatic pressure or with military force if and when diplomacy fails.
Perhaps you'd prefer to live in a country like, let's say, for example, Iraq or Afghanistan prior to our intervention in those countries. If you don't like it here, you could defect to North Korea: I'll pay your fair.
