My hubby is stationed in Germany and i am trying to get all the EFMP stuff finished so we can get over there with him. My question is...Will an abnormal pap smear keep me from being able to move there? I had the pap done and the colposcopy which showed precancerous cells but the Dr said that he wasnt worried about it and just to have another pap done next year. Do you think they will deny us to go to Germany? Thanks in advance!!

Shouldn't. EFMP only is to see if there's special needs you or the kids need. Read the Link to get more Information.

No this is not a situation that should keep you from moving. There are still American facilites in Germany which can cover this as well as the option for German GYN care - which you may prefer. I really liked the German docs that I saw.(It's different then American care but just as good and they have some methods our lovely FDA has not yet approved - which doesn't make them wrong by the way).

Enjoy Europe!

not necessarily. Germany has an excellent MTF as well as access to civilian hospitals. but whatever you do : DO NOT LIE OR OMIT ANYTHING.

if they find out you did and things get worse, you could be kicked out of the country and lose Command sponsorship.

No, you should be able to go....but if you have an abnormal pap you need to be treated for it. Precancerous cells can turn into cancerous cells.

Did you see a military doctor? Will he report it? If not then I don't see why they need to know about it.
If you are worried why don't you talk to your liaison person or the ombudsman. They should be able to give you advice about this issue and any others that you might have about moving to Germany.
Good luck! I think you'll love living in Europe for a few years.
