if it is in your medical records, and you let the recruiter know you have a heart condition, they will let the doctors know at the MEPs office, who will do a physical examination, and listen for the murmur. if they can hear it, they will not let you join the military. you can't even get a wavier for it. it's to protect their own ***, so that if something happens to you during basic, you won't turn around and sue them.
I wish you luck.

A heart murmur by itself is not disqualifying for entry into the armed forces, assuming there is no other underlying cardiac condition.

Depends on the branch of the service. The Army will take virtually anyone who's not on probation or has a criminal record. The Navy and Air Force are far more picky. The Marine Corps is somewhere in between (as you still could do a desk job even though they wouldn't consider you for combat assignments).
Best time to enlist? End of the month because that's when their recruiters are held accountable for their quota's.

If it's not a serious murmur they might accept you. I had a heart murmur and the Air Force accepted me.
Then again it was during the Vietnam War and they took almost everybody.

maybe they put you through a big physical and if u pass u pass. My bro in law just passed away from a heart murmur after surgey to correct it, so you should also think about not stressing your heart out, war could do that.
