i'm bias to the MC. i'm a WM, went in whilst i became 17 and it became the suitable 14 years of my existence. i've got been out for years yet nevertheless attend the MC ball and different veteran events. it is how deep the MC bond is going, that's an analogous for my different acquaintances. I labored in aviation and became continually stationed interior half-hour of the sea. I did some return and forth to Asia and my experience in aviation have been given me a job with an airline. This makes return and forth plenty greater potential. i did no longer kill anybody whether i became knowledgeable to accomplish that and could nevertheless accomplish that in a heartbeat. I protested nuclear weapons in the previous the MC and labored on a laser guided device to drop nucs in the MC. existence is ironic. college probability and coaching information exists. the militia does have regulation, it is named the UCMJ. I view each and each branch as an employer and then desperate which i could like on my resume. together as in HS I interviewed a recruiter for each branch and asked them to deliver a woman if achievable. I asked all of them an analogous questions and took a good number of notes. Are they how i could desire to be seen? The Marine became the sole one that challenged me with the help of exclaiming "what makes you think of you're able to nicely be a Marine?" i'm going to digital mail you in case you have greater questions. Well Lonely,
The Marines are doing great work in Iraq ans elsewhere around the world but they are not alone. There are actually more US Army troops there than Marines in Iraq. The Marines, being so small (actually part of the Navy) do not have many of the support forces that the larger branches do. The Army, Navy and Airforce all provide logistical, medical, supply, maintenance and a whole host of other services for the Marines.
As others have mentioned, you could be stationed anywhere in the world either on a ship or Navy base or on another branches' installation. Of course there is a very good chance that you will be sent to either Iraq or Afghanistan, especially if you are a riflemen.

Fresh recruits recently out of boot camp and ITR, are often sent to Iraq to replace more seasoned veterans.
The veterans get to go home for awhile, if they choose to do so, and are then re-assigned to a new duty station.
I understand that much of the 3rd Marine Division (Okinawa)is being deployed off the African coast. This is certainly a new trouble spot because Muslim fundamentalists are showing up in many African country's.
Those veteran's that you relieve in Iraq, will be itchin to get their hands on these Muslim fanatics. It looks like we are committed to chase this vermin out, no matter how deep the hole is, that they crawl into.

Hello. Um my husband is an infantry man in the marine corps and is currently serving a second tour in Iraq. He said if they are shipped out again it wont be to Iraq it would be Afganastan. So I think right now they are debating where to send more troops IF they send more troops. But there are other groups in Iraq as well I mean Army, Air Force, Navy ( usually corpsman). But with the infantry division your pretty much going to a war zone, but it definately wont be directly out of boot camp, you will spend a little time home afterwords, then you will go to a specialized school, after that you will go to a place called SOI training which is going to either be in NC or Cali, there you will learn how to handle combat and the things you need to learn to keep yourself alive. Next year my husband will be an instructor at the SOI school in NC. Good luck and welcome!!

All the branches are reprfesented in Iraq. Even the Coast Guard. They are respobnsible for port security.
Our military is stationed in many places. Germany, South Kortea, japan, Italy, Iraq , Cuba, and other places I can't begin to think of. You may go to Iraq, but there are other places you might go to..
Why don't you pay a visit to your local Marine recruiter. They love to talk to people like you, and there is no obligation at this time whatsoever,

The US MARINE CORP are the guys who provide security at all American embassies world wide. So if you are a sharp troop you could get deployed to any nation that has a US Embassy.
US MARINES are on all US Navy ships. So any place that the US NAVY has a naval base, you have Marines.
Of all the branches, your chances of going anywhere are best with the MARINES.
