my girl and i have been togehter over a year. problem is that she has a child with another guy but they have been seperated for a long time and dont talk. he doesnt pay any support but last april he joined the army and now she sees it as a god way to make him pay. my question is, is it a good idea that she marries him? well she already did but what im asking is was all this needed. her family isnt the greates and she pays half to all of the rent in her familys house and doesnt really have enough for her son. so she did this really for him. but i want to know from anyone does she have to stay married for six months or is it longer. help me please. as for me im crushed but i c it as good because its for her son who is only 3, i mean he shouldnt have to suffer. I am only 22 and im in school with a fulltime trying to make endz meet. she means well but at the same time i just dont like it. should she think for her son? me or both of us becuase we love eachother alot as well as her son

Well, I took the Military Test and recieved a 89. I will be an enliste, but I would like to know what I have to do to become an officer. I heard I have to have a bachlers degree, can I get it while I'm enlisted and if so do i get promoted when I get my diploma? I'm thinking about both the Air Force and the Navy, can you guys give me a bit of help making a choice, by giving me your opinion on both. Thank you.

I am deployed to iraq and currently have 2 combat patches on top of the one they are forcing me to wear. I have searched the 670-1 and found nowhere that states they can force me to wear one. I have heard the "add to but not take away" well, forcing me to wear one takes away the right not to wear one. So, now i am stuck with a platoon sgt threatening action in the form of a 4856 or even Article 15 if i dont comply. thing is i would rather wear my 1AD patch instead of some "pog" patch.

I am looking to go back to school for nursing (I already have a B.S. in psychology). I am trying to get in to the ROTC for the air force; which my wife is not exactly thrilled about. I was told by the recruiter that the AF only deploys for four months (is this true?). My wife said that this did not matter because I could get deployed, come back for a week and get deployed again. Now, she was probably exagerating but how often do nurses get deployed and are all the deployments combat related?
