More than 50,000 years ago, when mankind learned that rocks could be dangerous. The single ball bola was actually created, which could hurl the rock further and with greater accuracy than just picking it up and throwing it.

Your hands, that god created/ evolution, no one know for sure how long ago.

THE OLDEST 'GUN'
In 275 AD, Julius Africanus mentions "shooting powder", gunpowder or a mixture resembling it, was used at the siege of Constantinople in 668 AD. the Arabs or Saracens are reputed to have used it at the siege of Mecca in 690. In a sea conflict between the the Greeks and Pisanians, the Pisanians had fire-tubes fixed to the prows of their boats in 1098 and in 1147 the Arabs used firearms against the Iberians. So, the answer to your question would seem to be 1098 as the oldest recorded use of weapons

Approximately two hundred thousand years ago, Ugh was on a high ridge watching Nor work below. They had been enemies for some time and Nor had stolen Hun, Ugh's former cave woman. Ugh pushed a huge rock on top of Nor crushing him. That was the first recorded weapon. Learning from this. One day Ugh was on the same ridge and all of Nor's relatives were in the same position. Ugh pushed several big rocks causing a land slide killing all of them. This was the first recorder WMD. Not really! LOL

Man made weapon? I think that it was the spear, which did come from a rock. Then it was a knife/sword...
Otherwise....thick sticks make awesome weapons and they have been around since rocks!

Probably pre-Neanderthal, more than likely a stick or a rock...or one caveman could have thrown a piece of rotten fruit at another.
