Sorry, to say there will be No Going Home until the job is done,
The military do not work to a schedule of Civilian Holidays.
In many Wars and conflicts soldiers had to work through Christmas time.
And remember, Muslim Fundamentalists do not recognize Christmas and will not necessarily be taking time off from their campaign to enslave the world under a religion defined by them.

wouldnt that be nice. the best 'practical' thing you can do instead of hoping for something that's NOT going to happen, is support everyone over there. send care packages for the holidays. my big point here is that the war is not over, they still have a job to finish. so send them something that reminds them of home. it lifts their spirits.
and not just the troops home, but everyone fighting for our country. the Navy (and all military branches) has a HUGE presence over there and need support also.

If your for supporting the War, then why do you want our troops too come home.
A Xmas present would be that all Iraqis cooperate and establish a government that will run its self, by self, .......ow wait that would be a freakn miracle.

Sending our troops home would be the best x-mas present we could ever get from our government.especially since they should not have been sent to Iraq in the 1st place We started lout searching for Bin-laden (Who we still haven't caught) and Ol' George sends us to Iraq and forgets all about him. Gee George you need to pull your Head out of your butt & go back to your 1st objective (Finding Bin-Laden) Then you will really be accomplishing something In the mean time Get our people the hell out of Iraq and let them run their own country as they see fit

All of the above...ITS CHRIST-mas not X-mas!
The men and women are all volunteers, and they are a little too busy right now to come home, delivering a CHRISTMAS present themselves, from the US to Iraq...it's the most precious one of all. wrapped up in bloody bandages at a cost of 500 billion dollars and 150,000 lives, it's called FREEDOM.
May god bless them all.
