This comment is out of touch with reality. By definition, terrorists are in a weak position, and that's why they do terror - as a stunt to draw attention. They don't have the power to significantly change events or seriously threaten the existence of a sovereign state like the USA, let alone conduct an abstraction as a "Jihad" - which would require them to rally around a considerable proportion of the world's Muslims, which is highly unlikely given that Muslims worldwide cover a wide range of cultures, languages, practices, and are hardly united at all.

We would all be dead.
Jihad, meaning struggle, has nothing to due with the killing of innocents.
A martyr is not someone who plans and causes his death in the indiscriminant killing of others.
To martyr is to dye in the defense of ones faith or in defiance of blasphemy which is to pervert the word of God.
So the blasphemers that call themselves martyrs of holy jihad are nothing more than murders bent on the total destruction of everyone and everything.

We would all be Muslim. Alcohol, music and anything fun would be outlawed. women would have to throw away thier nice clothes and wander round 10 yards behind the men looking like Daleks on the occassions that they are allowed out. (on the plus side it would make shopping trips easier, 'shall I get the black Niquab or...err the other black Niquab') No more nights out on the beer, no more bacon butties for breakfast, no more admiring scantily clad ladies, no more of anything we have come to know and love. Just an eternity of going to the bloody Mosque and growing our beards. I would rather die than have to take on that vile religion

i'm no longer able to draw close the mentality of everybody who some how thinks that the conflict in Iraq is making us safer. thinking how committed and harsh the terrorists are, do no longer you think of that they had attack now, in spite of Iraq, in the event that they might? isn't that how they artwork (answer:definite). the actual reason they have not performed something yet is by using the fact they are in a place to't. conflict or no conflict.

Then we'd be in the same situation as Iraq with an occupying power trying to control us like the west are in Iraq. It would be a bigger blood bath because if we defeated the Germans twice I think the resilience against values which are even more alien to us and even more restrictive to our way of life would result in more heart-felt retaliation than anything seen before.

It won't be the end for us, but for them. They would turn on each other, as jihadis are united only by hatred. That in itself is incredibly fragile, and as many are uncertain of their final goals it would be one of the few common goals they share. Once achieved, they will become undone.
The answer, very little.
We have more to worry about the hatred within ourselves. Don't end up mirroring their hatred and their way of thinking, like how the Middle east came to mirror the hatred and fanaticism of the Crusaders. Thats why I believe installing draconian anti-terror laws with no end in sight will be the true end of everything we hold dear.

If they are really terrorists, they will lose. But if they are really Jihad warriors I'm very optimist the world will enjoy the wealth and peace just like the era of Salehuddin Al-Ayubi. It is because the true Jihad warriors will hold the true Islamic thought and belief, and they are not terrorists.

They would commit genocide similar to what Hitler did in WWII, they would kill all non-believers in their religion and maybe everyone not from their faction. Just a bunch of damn fools, but there's no possible way for this to happen, it just wouldnt be possible, they take about 30-40x the casualties the US does in Iraq every day.

The US can literally destroy any city on the planet in thirty minutes.
Your nation is a thousand times more of a threat to those bomb throwing reactionary peasants, than they have any hope of being to you.
