The state department is contracted with 3 security companies in Iraq...
1-Blackwater USA which has 857 security contractors in the middle of Iraq
2-Dyncorps which has 257 security contractors responsible for north Iraq
3 Triple Canopy ..Which has approximately 250 security contractors responsible for southern Iraq

But if a politician outside the state department come to Iraq like a senator or state governor ..I think he will bring security guards of his own.

Blackwater workers as security for contractors and stuff. U.S. Politicians would probably be protected by the Army or Secret Service

No they do not and they never have. The US State Dept has the Diplomatic Security Service who supplies personnel for security details for US Politicians and other dignitaries who visit Iraq. They are called Regional Security Officers and work with the Chief of mission in Iraq.
