Pat Tillman was born on Nov 6th. Do you remember him?

Although strong as a bull, he was dead by 30.

He was the NFL player/millionaire who volunteered to serve in Afganistan in his brother's unit, giving up a multi-million dollar a year NFL job, and died there by "friendly fire".

Pat Tillman gave up the glamorous life of a professional football star to join the Army Rangers.

He was remembered as a role model of courage and patriotism Friday after military officials said he had been killed in action in Afghanistan.

Does the 16-0 NFL Patriots remind you of this self-sacrificing patriot? Does his patriotism amaze you?

How do you feel about Pat Tillman?

How do you feel about Afghanistan?

How do you feel about the occasion of his birthday?

Do you have a comment?

well i didnt want this job really, i was just persuaded by my recruiter somehow, i wanted like a action/combat job and he said "join the security force you can go into sniper school" but now that i found out that security forces are long hour job and mostly waiting and no combat seems boring. i already did my oath thing in the MEPS. im just waiting to be called into basic training, and training with my recruiter.

so i got some few question:
1. is there really a sniper training in the security force or was that a lie?

2. do you think i can change my job, i dont know how it works but i had the security force as my first pick?

3. how is the tech school for SF like? hard or easy? is there a lot of studing because im not really that good when it comes to studing

4. im korean and what will my chances be if i chose korea as my first choice base?

5. pros and cons about SF

if there's any extra i need to know please tell me!

thanks again

I'm 33 and simply want to use my skills to care for the men and women who bravely serve our country. Do you figure that I will be resented by those who enlisted straight out of high school, or Officers who finished the academy because my entry into the military would be somewhat "untraditional" or would most appreciate the skills that I bring to simply fixing wounded soldiers/officers for no significant financial gain?

Should Bush be giving immunity to paid mercenaries Who shot and killed unarmed men women and children while he ignores U.S. Troops and boarder agents who are siting in prison for doing there jobs or following orders? Could this have any thing to do with the fact that Bush just gave Black Water a huge Multi billion $ contract to fight the war on drugs? Black Water will have access to Billions in un-traceable drug money (CASH) and Drugs while Bush holds there future and freedom in his hands. How many things about this can you count that just don't smell right to you?

My boyfriend went AWOL from the army (reported to duty station after AIT. Left 5 minutes later). He turned himself in at PCF Fort Sill on day 29. They allowed him to use his cell phone long enough to make a quick call. He told me he would be there four weeks and then i could come pick him up. He said he did not know what happens after he gets to go home in four weeks. I went to ask another question to get explanation, but they told him time was up. I have no way to hear from him now.
Can anyone tell me what is happening? How does he know he is coming home in four weeks. Is this his punishment time before a dishonorable discharge? He would have been in less than 6 months at that time and I heard you cant get dishonorable before 6 months in.
Without being rude, can someone tell me what is going on those 4 weeks? Keep in mind you don't know what kind of home problems he has at the moment with family. So don't judge, just tell me what you know. Thank you!

OK, sorry I keep asking about this. I asked if recruiters are taught how to administer a tape test, and received mainly the same answer that they will fudge things if they can to meet quota. I'm now wondering if the way they "fudge" things (I don't know if that's true or not) is to kind of alter the way they measure. It seems pretty subjective, especially around the hips. I always imagine that to be at the hip bone, which is where I was measured, not down around the butt, which is where I thought they were supposed to do it. Anyway, should I worry too much? It seems like they should know how to do their job and would measure properly. Ok, I think there may be a question buried in here! Sorry! Thanks.

WW1 The Australian Light Horse charged the Turkish held garrison at Bathsheaba, 1000 years of Muslim rule was conquered in an astonishing assault raid by the 800 Australian Light Horsemen who charged at dusk, over running the Turkish defences while being shot at by enemy machine gun fire, artillery and German pilots dropping hand held mortars from over head sweeps. Outnumbered they than dismounted and captured the stronghold to turn the course of the Regional War and capture and preserve life saving wells for water. This is a feat the Brittish and otehr Allies were unable to chieve across open desert and a magnificent Victory and Gallipoli. Only 34 men were fell during the charge which chaged the campaign !
