Your absolutely right!!

The first couple of posters clearly don't understand where your coming from and I'm also hazarding a guess that they are American.

Why was using nuclear weapons against Japan justifiable?? And your only conerned with American lives?? So it was ok to brutally kill innocent Japanese women and children?? As long as American soldiers were saved?? The nuclear attackes on Japan are still killing, mutilating and deforming children TO THIS DAY!! Nothing can EVER justify that.

I don't understand what the terror attacks on New York, London or anywhere else have to do with nuclear weapons?? Iran had nothing to do with any of these attacks.

If your concern is that suddenly Middle Eastern countries are going to decide to attack us with nuclear weapons....... do they not have a right to the same suspicions from the West?? America and the Uk have nuclear weapons...should the Middle East demand we get rid of ours in case we decide to attack them???

From what I can see terror attacks have been happening in the West which are NOTHING to do with the governmnets of the countries these terrorists are from. They are a small group of horrible people and don't represent whole countries or the way they are governed. And last time I checked WE had brought war to Iraq... not the other way around....... several years on and not a single weapon of mass destruction has been found people..... but a sh1t load of oil!!!

Also... the UK has recently spent £350m pounds on a visit from the ruler of Saudi Arabia to the Uk to meet our queen. This is a country where public beheadings still take place and the government is corrupt beyond belief.... why are we greeting and welcoming this person to our country but we gave the death sentance to Sadam Hussain???

Your are extremely niave if you believe everyhting your government tells you. Especially when your president can barely string a sentance together.

To the poster below..... none of these countries have asked for "help" from anybody. they were perfectly happy with there way of life.... but just because it is differnet from your own you think these "poor people" need "saved" by the big strong Americans.

kind of a moronic question. If countries with unstable goverenments get their hands on a nukes, like N. Korea, like Iran, it is a good possiblity that terrorists organizations will find a way to get them. Where they can and will be used in any part of the world. The U.S. used the A-bomb to defeat a country who, along with the Nazi's, was attempting to take over the world. Yea, it saved American lives, as well as millions of other lives. I'm not sure where you are from, but use your head, and ask yourself where this world would be without the US. The countless American service members who have lost their lives fighting for foriegn people is astounding. It sounds to me like you have fed into the propaganda. Im not sure what or where you come from, but get your own opinions, your own beliefs, and try to use some objectivity.

You could just as easily say,

Why is the only country to ever land a man on the moon, uses force.........................................

What does using nuclear weapons during WW ll have to do with anything today ?

We used them, because we were the only country to have them, if other countries had them during WW ll, they would have used them also.

Yea, what was the logic behind people telling others, that Germany and Hitler were up to no good, back in 1936.

Of course, to many people said, " Oh quit trying to demonize Hitler and Germany "

Back in 1936, and we all saw what resulted from that miscalculation.

The president, under a time of war, can send an ICBM with a Nuclear Warhead at another country without the congress approving it although it has to go to the commanding General to approve of the launch. If it goes through, I'm sure they'll get the president removed from office.

If you successfully demonize another country then you will have not have Congress opposing aggression on the part of the President.

Historically the Japanese had already proposed peace. They had run out of fight and only wanted to protect the Emperor from trial and execution.Rather than negotiate Truman dropped the big one.

so the USA is the only one doing things like that? the only difference is that we have dropped a atomic bomb. Iran warns of what they see as dangerous when they ramble on about the USA,Israel, and the UK. Russia has done it as have most countries. so what is your point?

juicy look it up part of the justification was also to save the live of Japanese civilians too. duh!

we have used the atomic bomb to end a war and the reason that we go to other countries is to help them out, people seem to forget that we go to these countries to try to help their people and prevent issues from making their way to the US. People aren't "falling" for anything we aren't demonizing countries we are out there trying to fix what is wrong and people see it at first until liberals decide that helping these other countries isn't suiting them.

Your questions are showing bias. Also, you cheated. You asked more than one question and only gave up five points.

The US used atomic bombs for good reason. We fought a bloody war for four years. It ended the war without the US losing another one million soldiers, which was the estimated cost of invading and occupying Japan.

We know what harm nuclear weapons can cause. It is right for the US to do everything we can to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons. The logic should be clear.

The two previous answers are pretty good and no-nonsensical. I agree with it and I have nothing to add to this.

Note that I'm not American, but French, though many French would disagree with my answer given their traditional and irrational anti-Americanism (they suffer from poor memory and forgot about WWII and who did set them free from the hands of the Nazi).

So your answer is to sit on your butt and do nothing, what happens eventually when the countries who despise the USA and the free world manage to develop their weapons systems, do you think they will hesitate to give them to terrorists to use against us??

Can you be so naive??

9/11 was not something we fell for.

The attack on the U.S.S. Cole.

The attack on the U.S. Embassies in Africa.

The attack on the Spanish Railway Trains.

The attack on the London Underground & Bus system.

The people who made these attacks know the U.S.A. will not use an atomic bomb against them.

Its time you grew up and moved to live in the real world.
