I know what you are talking about there were tons of post on here about how american troops were bad becuase of the bombing accident that killed 3 british troops. They were saying stuff like they did it on purpose and that they didnt care. How they were irresponsible,
I too am currious what they think about this.
I guess it really is just an accident when they do it.
By the way I do agree it was just an accident, but for all of the incidents not kust ones that involve my country.
By the way the links are to the questions posed on here about the american frinedly fire incident for those that said they were not sure about them

Can you post a link regarding this particular incident because its the first I have heard about it?
I am sure the British Public feel sad about the event if true.
The previous "Blue on Blue" in which the American Air Force attacked British A.P.C.'s. is in a different context, cockpit video recordings made public show that there was uncertainty between the Pilot's about the vehicles, even down to what they were, before the pilots decided to attack.
If the incident you asked about was a "Blue on Blue" in a ground combat firefight situation, it will be the result of a reaction to seeing another armed person appearing unexpectedly followed by them getting shot, before the firer realized that they were a member of the Danish Contingent.

I don't know all the details of this, and who said "every" British person was outraged?
If it's a part of war that could have been prevented, it is a sad thing to hear.
Edit.
Yes well not everyone was outraged, because i certainly was not.
War is War, you have consequences that you simply can not change even with technology, because there are people involved...which do make mistakes and one risk of war is that incidents like these will happen all we can do is offer our condolences to the danish troops families, hope that it happens less and less.
just hope that there are more people out there with a philosophical view that don't jump on a band wagon pointing the blame.
Like someone said below me, get all the facts and act on them to "help" prevent this in the future.

A casualty of "Friendly fire" as it is termed in the US and I believe also in many other allied armies is always a profound sombre tragedy and a devastating event for everyone involved.
I wrote in detail on this some months back laying out in detail the events of that particular incident. The US Military had initially covered it up. It remains covered up to this day. The events are documented and prov-en. No action whatsoever take against the US Airmen. Albeit categorically proven they were in default from first sighting to destroying their target with resulting tragic loss of British life!
Yes. We could all go on knocking the pro's and cons back and forth. However, its more important to identify why, investigate, determine cause, address solutions - and apportion blame - only in the need to do so!
Cover up / refusal to openly address / admit such an incident happened is all too familiar the reaction and onward progression of the US military. Years, years, generations, generations the US military covertly treats all such instances accordingly!
We all add our heartfelt condolences to the Danish families.
I fully expect the incident to be investigated and any/all findings be made duly known / acted upon in full measure

I think they would be upset...I am...There was a recent case of a British soldier being shot by his own men...all these are tragedies and the result of war...unfortunately these things happen even in a modern warfare setting...and they will continue to happen.
